Comment:

Greatly disappointed. I took this class hoping to learn about the supernatural from an anthropological view. One of my majors is Anthro. Thoroughly disappointed, angered. He purposely makes the tests hard by making every question have all and none of the above very weirdly worded & non-coherent questions. C is highest grade in the class.

He always ends class early, you would think that is a good thing. But it really is not because you don't learn the material well. He is never clear in what he wants and is such a harsh grader. He also loves to put people on the spot, and makes everyone read aloud their work.

This class was a huge disappointment. Our 1 day a week class would end after 45 minutes. He wrote everything on the board prior to class and just lectured, assigned readings and left. Study guides for the exams were useless. Exams were difficult and both formatted and worded strangely. He didn't seem interested in engaging the class at all.

Most frustrating class I have ever taken. ALWAYS cancels class, is NEVER clear about his expectations and grades inconsistently. If you want a class you never have to attend, take 120. But be warned you'll have to work for your A or kiss serious a--.

So I took this class hoping it would be easy. WRONG! At first it was easy cause he rarely showed up and the cute-ish TA would be there. But his lectures were pointless. We RARELY had class. Few essays, but would not tell you how he graded and quizzes were hard. Upon receiving the grading rubric, note in corner "high school CAHSEE"... nuff said

One of my favorite teachers. Taken a few classes with him and have yet to be disappointed. As long as you can write at a college level, his hw is a easy, the essay prompts are straight forward and he breaks them down beforehand. Rough draft process is helpful, provides good critiques during office hours. Class always ends early, concise lectures.

The easiest class i have EVER taken !! He always "furloughs" his classes... always. Only had 2 essays and 2 quiz's, one of which he doesn't count. Show up to the classes, just so you know when things are due and to find out that you dont have class for the next two weeks. EASY A.

I have a 3.9 GPA and received a C+ in this class. The subject is interesting but this teacher made class unbearable. He singles out students and if you don't say the EXACT answer he wants he makes you feel stupid. Whether it's the midterm essay, the group project, or the final essay, he's NEVER clear about what he wants & gives grades w/o reason.

I was really interested in taking this class, but the professor was just so bland and appeared to be bored or upset that he had to teach the class that it made it boring. Plus he really didn't give much insight as to what he was looking for in his essays. No assignment really though. Grades based solely on 2 essays and a group presentation.

The professor has a true knowledge of the subject and presented some interesting information, but unfortunately was not organized and his requirements of students were never made clear. A 2 minute presentation was worth just as much as a long term paper, and his expectations were unknown. I was a 4.0 student, but not after his class.

This was a pretty interesting class and was easy. Make sure you attend and take notes, he goes over every test with a precise study guide. He has the appearance of being mad and subdued but just go talk to him and seem interested and it will benefit you. Reading is easy and was an empty class. easy A or B

I found this class to be pretty intriguing, and I really enjoyed some of his lectures. He's extremely knowledgeable in the subject matter he teaches, which makes some of the topics more interesting. I thought he was pretty funny too when he wanted to be. The class was pretty easy and laid back. I'd recommend taking this one.

I agree with the comment below abount somewhat enjoying his class until exam time. Lectures are pretty scattered, most of the terms I'm pretty sure he made up. Psycho-phobic spirituality? Tests suck, reasearch paper not much better, grades weird.

I'm not a film guy but I'm taking this film class. He teaches it like everyone is a film major, but noone in my 40 student class was a film major. That was lame. 1 midterm exam, 6 movie reviews, and a final paper or film. Midterm was REALLY HARD! It was scantron but had ABCD and E choices. Everything else was easy. No homework.

The good: if you take the class at night, he stays for about an hour and a half at most. Some of the novels are great! He's really intelligent and knows field but he doesn't seem the least bit interested in teaching. 1 midterm: 1 group presentation he doesn't pay any attention to and a paper. Fairly easy.
