Dr. Haynes will ask for "class discussion" on controversial topics, but if she doesn't like your opinion she will spend the rest of class telling you what your opinion should be. So many papers, so much reading, and too high of expectations. Only take this class if you plan to do nothing besides spend your time in this class

I love Dr. Haynes as a person, but she is a terrible professor. She has so much in her plate that she doesnt teach at all. She lets you make the syllabus and your the one who teaches yourself. She shouldnt be teaching with everything else shes doing.

if you take this woman PLEASE do yourself a favor and do choose tests and quizzes instead of a documentary, debates, and journals... this class is impossible, especially since you have to teach yourself the material. She needs a new teaching method because the one she has now is not working out.

Worst professor I've ever had. She is politically driven and will shove her liberal ideologies down your throat. You cant skip class. Makes you come up with what you'll do in the class because she has no clue what she is doing. I'd rather clean the floors than sit through one more of her lectures. Drop out before you take her class.

Dr. Haynes is a nice person but she'll shove her political agenda (she'll back her stance up with false information) down your throat, her textbook is full of errors and is politically motivated, and her class is full of needless work. If you choose not to do exams in the class, you'll have way more hw than every entry level class at Tech combined.

Please please please don't take this class. She is terribly monotone, one sided, and teaches nothing during the class time. All of the work and learning is done outside of class on your own time. The journals, debates, and documentary is pointless and busy work. Every time you miss class you have to write a two page peer reviewed paper.

You either hate her or love her. I loved her class. It is alot of busy work. I think she is one of the most misunderstood Prof. at Tech. Just give her a chance. She just likes to challenge your opinion even if she does agree with you.

She is absolutely one sided and if you are not on that side, you're done. I unfortunately was not on her side most of the time. We had a project dealing with world cultures. Ours was good, her T.A. gave us a 92, she marked it out and gave us a 60. Her T.A.'s do all the work then she goes through and changes the grades based on if she likes you.

Dr. Haynes has a serious superiority complex and a holier than thou attitude. I took nothing away from this class. Often leaves the teaching to her T.A.s which is NOT what I paid for! If you don't have the same opinion as she does then you will have a tough time. Also she censores everything you say but thinks nothing of her harmful words!

Dr. Haynes is very interested in teaching, but the material she brought to this course had no relation to the subject. She also tries to keep religion out of the class entirely, and she rewards those students who see things exactly the way she does. The book she used slandered Christianity and mocked moral people; I would avoid this teacher.

This class is easy. When she give you the assignments it will seem like a lot at first, but it will turn out to be very little. The journals suck. the WOW festival is easier than she make it out to be. Not a very fun class. The mini-projects are interesting though, and I found them to be fun.

She is hard, but walks you through the whole process and gives everyone a fair chance at a good grade. You will be an expert on your chosen subject when you are through. She is very caring, very helpful. Yes, she talks about her family but she'll be there for you for anything. I just graduated. She was one of my favorite teachers.
