Comment:
Do not buy WSJ, or Hardcopy of the Textbook. Get the calculator he tells you to get. All tests are problems, no MC. Do homework prior to class, he moves VERY fast, so if you don't know how to do something, you will be behind. Tests are fairly hard, lot's of problems oposite of HW and wording can be confusing!

Definitely has a passion for finance. 2 tests and the final make up your grade. Homework often that isn't graded. Keep up with the homework, and you'll do fine. Allows you to bring a notecard to each exam.

He is very difficult to understand. He gives you all the info you need for the tests but does not explain it very well. His teaching style can be difficult if you arent good in math. 3 tests that are worth a huge portion of your grade. Dont buy wall street journal and aplia is helpful to furthur understand material. Good guy, alright teacher

Most likely have to take this teacher as he teaches practically all intro to fi-NANCE courses. Tests were hard even after hours of studying. The homework problems were much easier and almost doesn't prepare you for the exams. Only use textbook to get homework problems and don't bother buying the Wall Street Journal.

Tests are bull, so much more difficult than the hw. Gave us a project that made no sense- it was not on anything we had talked about so you had to go see him to figure it out. Makes you buy Aplia and the Wall Street Journal which you don't use, huge waste of money. And such a waste of time when a third of the class has to grade replace.

Great professor, knows the subject in and out and will go out of his way to help you understand. Hardest part of the class was learing how to use the calculator... make sure you buy the one he specifies in class and you will be fine.

I took FIN315 (Financial Institutions & Markets) with Professor Natress during the Summer of 2007. His class is very tough; however, he is very fair. He had quite a lot of "real world" experience in the field so this makes the class interesting. If you do the homework and go to class, you should pass the class.

Great professor - prob the best Fin 201 professor at Bryant. He tells you what you need to know, and gives a great foundation for finance. Teaching style is clear and focused on applications. He ends class a few min early, and doesn̢۪t waist time during class. He is also helpful during office hours and after class.

he thinks you know everything about finance. teaching methods are abysmal. i was completely lost most of the semester. went over all homework and studied for days for the tests only to get 50's and 60's on them. avoid if possible.

It should be an intro class and he expects you to know everything. Nice guy and willing to help. Great grading scale, you will pass the class. Better than the other finance teachers. Boring class - reads from power points. If you do the homework over and over you will do okay on the exams. Don't expect and A but expect to pass. Willing to help

Let me just say, this guy is a great guy. He knows his stuff, worked in every kind of situation and is very dedicated. His dad died and he was back in class in a few days. Also, the subject matter of the course is tough to teach, and i think he does a great job. He gives good examples.

This man is a nice guy, but his class was a nightmare. His approach to teaching the material is very unclear. I dont underestimate his intelligence but his teaching pace is very fast and thinks everything is INTUITIVE. I did poorly in this class. ITS A TEACH YOURSELF CLASS AND IS VERY FRUSTRATING!
