Dr. Boules had a good sense of humor, but he wasn't the right match for me as a prof. He skips steps or assumes you draw your own connections, so if you're like me & you like seeing the relationships between diff topics, he's a hard prof to have. Assigns practice homework, tells you what he'll collect & when. No surprises, srsly use his office hrs

This professor is hands down the worst math professor I've ever taken. He has been corrected by students every time we have had a lecture and he doesn't take his own course seriously. He grades very heavy and is very unhelpful overall. I had to self-teach myself the entire course.

Comment:

MAC 2311 was really challenging at times, but Professor Boules works with students in and out of class to ensure that they are doing nothing, but there upmost best in the class. He is very considerate, but nothing to mess with, so don't expect a handout. All around a great guy and highly recommended for a good semester in calculus.

I loved Professor Buoles because he made a lot of jokes during class, but this was the hardest math class I've ever taken and I love math. He gives a lot of homework assignments and the tests are hard. If you don't show up for class or do all the homework you won't pass. He doesn't really explain mistakes very well either.

Terrible professor not clear at all and only gives you the examples that are directly laid out in the book. He will not explain anything but instead he just says "because it is just that way". I used to love math but he is a hard grader and very unhelpful. I would never take a course taught by him again

He spends 60% of class lecturing theory but you never see it again. You can summarize 2 hrs of class in three sentences in your notes. Ask to many questions and he'll make fun of you. Refuses to show the steps which explain the answers. Likes to feel importantdominant and tells autobio stories and laughs at his own jokes. Discourages students

Took him for Calc II he made it pretty understandable. You have to try in the class but this is Calc II you need to know your integrals. Cool dude and will always help you at his office. Tests could have been WAY harder he didn't even give any tricky integrals he tests your fundamentals not obscure integrals. I'd take him again if I had the chance

great teacher. come to class do your homework and go to office hours. make sure he knows you are making an honest effort and you will pass. i did well on homework and not too hot on tests, but i was in ACE and office hours a lot so i earned a C

Professor Boules is great. He cares about people understanding and pushes students to use his office hours. He assigns practice home work and turn in homework. Do them all and you will be very well prepared for exams.

He is an amazing professor. He takes at least 30 mins out of every lecture for review to make sure we understand. The exams are short and he adds questions from homework and reviews. It is very easy to do well in his class. He likes to make us laugh and enjoy our class time. Definitely take him if you can.

Had not taken a math class in 20 years, and he made PreCalculus understandable! Super nice gentleman. Very helpful, very available. Will be happy to help you understand concepts. Very fair in his grading.

explains all sections with numerous examples. gives plenty of practice problems for homework. Grades a few problems from most of the sections. The homework is tougher than the exams. As long as you attend class regularly and do the practice homework, you'll do just fine.

This class was a joke. He is a jerk and he is soooooo dull. Very repetitive. Attendance isnt mandatory so I never went to class, just taught myself out of the book. Dont miss any assignments! Each question on the homework is around 20 points and thats where your entire grade comes from.

Very good proffesor, he doesnt have as bad of an accent as a lot of the other proffesors, I passed his calc 2 class without really having any help from the book or ACE, just listened to the lectures. He goes over complex problems and gives you hard homework problems but tests are so much easier.

I didn't understand anything he said. When someone doesn't understand a problem he just does it on the board very quickly, mumbling in iranian, and then says "You see? Okay." No, not okay. I don't see.
