I have never met a professor who is so willing to be engaged with students. She will go out of the way to help you. I find her extremely clear. The truth is, you need to do all the logic exercises to learn logic. I cannot imagine anyone failing this class even after they labored through all the assigned logic problems.Queen's is lucky to have Adele

This was a bad class. Poorly structured, poorly executed. I fear for the future generation of PHIL majors and medials.

Horrible teacher. Makes extra help classes. I went to one, from the very start because I failed a quiz. 2 hours in I hadn't gotten a thing because she kept repeating the same 2 sentences over and over again. After 5 hours I learned enough to pass that test and my friend taught me the rest of the course, better that she had been teaching me.

Best professor at Queen's. While she expects a lot from her students, she gives back more than enough energy and helpfulness to fulfill that expectation. The material can be difficult, but she takes the time to make sure everyone understands. She is always, ALWAYS, available if you need extra help. Incredibly passionate :)

Comment:
Adele is passionate & comfortable & can keep students interested. In class, she is very helpful, answering questions, drawing analogies. Unfortunately, she has a philosopher's spirit (read: procrastinator extraordinaire) in all the things she does, including returning emails & marking papers. This detracts from an otherwise good experience.

Adele is simply brilliant. She is passionate about the subject matter and it comes through in her lectures. Lectures are thought provoking and genuinely fun to attend. Everyone should take at least one class with her before graduating, just for the experieince of learning from such an incredible woman.

very sharp and passionate, managed to turn a rather dry subject matter entertaining by her use of examples. she's likely the most easy-going and helpful prof. i've had, and although she may speak her mind provocatively she does so in a thoughtful rather than offensive manner(those who take issue with her tend to come from the easily offended camp.)
