Bakhurst is the quintessential philosophy professor: Harry Potter esque glasses, vintage sweaters, English accent, the whole deal. He's incredibly eloquent and well spoken, while keeping the material easy enough to understand.

Bakhurst is crazy intelligent, super interesting, and a really understanding prof. Courses aren't easy but if you're even a little interested in Philosophy you have to take any course he offers.

He's an amazing prof who keeps intro philosophy lectures as painless as possible. His assignments were very easy as long as you show up to class. I would definitely recommend this course to anyone looking for an easy A!

Professor Bakhurst is a great professor, and I would readily take a course he is teaching again. He is very clear, and makes what he is teaching interesting. He is also a professor that actually cares about his students, which is quite refreshing.

Was a lecture to look forward to, even though it was in the morning. Who decides philosophy should be a morning class anyways? Prof. Bakhurst's lectures were informative and entertaining, especially with the chalkboard diagrams of his cat. He demands a lot from his students, but if you work hard, you will get a good grade. His lectures are generally clear, and are supplemented by great internet notes. He also makes lectures interesting and makes the material approachable. He gives few assignments, but they are difficult. He assigns little reading, but expects high comprehension.

Prof. Bakhurst is an awesome lecturer. His explanations of famous philosophical musings are made much easier to digest because of his inclusion of humour throughout. He makes you interested in the subject, no matter how bizarre or seemingly stupid. If you can get him as a prof, go for it.
