Comment:

Possibly the worse professor I have ever taken at union county college. She goes off topic way too much and teaches the beginner class as if its an advance class so if you don't know any Spanish you will never learn a thing in her class. She comes off as a sweet woman but will fail you for not learning what she isn't teaching. Don't take her class!

She's a terrible teacher. She's very sassy and criticizes you. She's mean and you will not learn Spanish at all. Classes were confusing. Do not take her!!!!!! You will regret it trust me. I failed her class and I tried my hardest.

She can be a very nice person but I learned absolutely no Spanish, which is what I paid for. All she talked about was her trip to Puerto Rico, and if I wasn't already familiar with the language, I wouldn't have passed. If you want to learn, pass, and raise your GPA, DO NOT take her class, it will just be a waste of your time and money.

There is no organization of the material presented, and the class might as well be online as she doesn't teach or explain. More than once she tests the class on material that isn't even gone over or reviewed upon. She even goes off topic constantly. If you aren't keeping up, she has a tendency to berate those falling behind. Just don't take her.

Hawley is incredibly nice, caring, intelligent, and willing to help if you show that you actually want to learn. If not, she won't bother with you. This is college level spanish, and she honestly doesn't make you learn anything very hard. Study and you'll do fine. Annoying people in class will make the entire class suffer though.

Dr Hawley is a sweet person and very intelligent, but not organised.You won't learn much italian but if you show up for class do the required work and show her that you are interested she will give you credit for that.Her class is stress free she is funny however it is a bit boring. Make sure you study the book her tests are not hard.

You can get an easy A but won t learn Spanish. You will always do the same things. The atmosphere was terrible but of her lack of discipline with the students. Fights almost started in the class and she did not say a word! Did not always feel safe... :( Asked if she could speak Spanish with us... did not happened. She is not organized.... :(

Participate and be interested in what she has to say, she will like you more. DO THE HOMEWORK, each assignment counts as a quiz so if you screw up on the tests, the homework can save your average! Very easy professor. She goes through everything very fast, so you need to keep up. Takes attendance first couple of days. Very understanding if you need to miss a class, just make sure you speak with her first. Don't be late to class, and don't whip out your cell.

Very condescending, makes you feel like you're back in grade school. I went to the back row on the first day of class and she said that NO ONE sits in the back row in her class. She is ASSuming that people who sit in the back row are going to slack off? I am an adult, who is there to learn! Will deduct off your grade for lateness/absence. AVOID
