Dr. K is the best professor at Hofstra! (sorry Spieler) He gives online quizzes for HW which are directly from the textbook & are later on the tests. His classes are actually very interesting and he makes corny finance puns. His 3 tests are easy if you study the quizzes and pay attention in class.

Probably the best professor I have ever had. I have taken him for several master's courses and can only recommend him. Dr. K is very passionate about his profession and this is reflected in his teaching. You will learn a lot, the tests aren't easy but very fair, grading is fair. But mostly you will learn a lot!

He is a really nice professor. what he teaches is very difficult, however, he won't go crazy on grading and fail you. Most student get B and above grade as long as you submit all the work despite the quality. One of the best professor at Business School. He do actually care about his students and put himself at the students shoes. i do admire him.

He can be difficult to understand sometimes and seems to be a pain behind your neck but he's actually really cool. He teaches very difficult stuffs and pushes you to do complicated things BUT it is OK that you don't get it the first time. He gives you plenty of times and opportunities to absorb the materials. Just grin and bear with him. You really do not have a choice if you want to take futures, options or fin. modeling/engineering (grad courses). He is the only professor at school who is teaching those. Yes, his jokes are not funny but I do not think he means bad, he just does not know better. Just grin and bear. He grades well.

I don't know why some people say they learned a lot from him. He is very hard to follow when he is trying to explain something, and assumes you know it before he teaches. He is extremely cocky and way too conceited. Doesn't return student emails. Waste of time with him.

Being a graduate of Dr.K's class, you will be glad that you had a professor like him. He's not hard because he teaches you the right tools and material to do well in his class. tests are kinda hard, tons of math (duh) but you need to know hard definitions too. Kind of mean but you have to soften him up. Aplia assignments assigned and they SUCKKKKKKKKKK. Overall, he was a VERY generous grader and heavily curved EVERY test. 68 = C+ (curving for one test) I'll take that!

Dr. K is the best finance professor at Hofstra. He dedicates his life to his students and that school. Wants to see everyone succeed. Very helpful. Always available during office hours or by appt. Contrary to some posts here, this guy is one of the better teachers I have had at Hofstra. Just pay attention, do the work and you will be fine. Extra credit is around once every week to two weeks. Didnt have a test yet but just know your stuff.

Turkish Tough Tests. Tests are all Multiple Choice but all 5 choices are answers, if you make a mistake your answer will be there. Aplia online assignments, yur better off printing them out and working it out by hand, then going back to punch in your answers. Go to class but it won't help, because he won't teach unless you know your stuff.
