I had him in the spring of 2003 and he was a great professor. He has group quizzes and drops one and lets us use a page of notes on exams. There's nothing bad about him.

Accounting is hard in general. But viersen creates a very positive atmosphere in the class room. Very nice guy, if you have trouble go to office hours, it helps a lot. He enjoys teaching kids accounting, Tests are hard at times but study HW problems and put exampls and terms on your cheat sheet.

Nice guy. Really tries to make you understand. Group quizzes, drops one. Allows one page of notes for exams. If you need help-go to his office hours. He'll help you understand and also take that into consideration at the end. Reading the book is a must!

It seemed like he really didn't care. He was in a rush to get out the door when class was over, and he cancelled 2 class periods (the equivalent of 2.66 weeks in real school)

He is a nice guy, but his class is offered only in the summer, and this class is really hard, and it makes things worse when its crammed into 6 weeks. Two exams, 1 group project, and 4 quizzes. The quizzes are done in groups, but still challenging.

This teacher was incredibly easy on the class. Group quizzes, and a page front and back on the tests. He has horrible writing, but he's good at explaining things. Go to his office hours with questions; it really helps

Acctg is already hard. The Teacher is great. Makes the class easier. Use notes on Exams, Grp Quizzes, Open book final, answers to HW. How much easier can he make it. If someone did bad on the final, they didn't know how to use their book. Nice teacher.

He is a very nice man but the final screwed me over. I had a solid B in the class until I took the hard-*** final and I got a C overall. Boo! Learn the book and do all the problems before attending class.

Nice guy, real world experience makes class more interesting. He can loose students with in-depth (unnecesary) accounting calculations during lectures. Very hard final, but it is curved. This proffesor is very accesible and helpful.

he is a nice guy, but he does not know how to teach this class! The book is not helpful either. I recommend taking this class immediately after financial accounting, otherwise you will not understand what is going on at all.
