Great guy, honestly cares if you learn the information. At times lectures can get muddled by stories but give lots of group project to boost your great. Make sure you get in a good group and do test corrections and you'll have an easy A

Oh Albert. His stories make lectures less boring but its sometimes hard to understand what he is teaching you. The only issue I had was that he said that there are many possible answers to his questions and he doesn't have a an answer key for a lot of assignments. Whatever he puts online for practice, do it, bc it will be on your test or quiz.

Grades based on tons of group projects. Lectures make no sense and he rambles on about irrelevant things and rarely gets to the point. If you want to do well you have to go to the TA sessions weekly because they help make sense of him.

Always there for students and to answer questions, but loves to go on tangents about basically random things. All exams open-book, but you better know what your notes mean, because he focuses more on the concepts than the proceduresrules. Minimal math. Quizzes are closed-book, but practice quizzes are given which are nearly identical to the quiz.

Comment:
His lectures are very confusing. There is really no set topic on what he speaks about, its more history rather that economics. He talks a lot about the Vietnam War. He goes off about things that may not be relevant. His midterm and finals are impossible, even though they are open book. He is willing to help if you need it, but its not worth it.

His lectures are incomprehensible and attending class is purely a waste of time. Read the book, and do the APLIA and practice problems and youll be fine

He left out several important points in tests and quizzes "Draw the graph what starbuck said." That was a question. All of his analogies have to do with sports or movies. He would talk about jaws in order to use the full lecture time. Went to his office hours once to ask him about a test. He talked at me about the old west for 3 hours.

Funny, quirky guy. I fell asleep during most of his classes but I think that was to my benefit because his lectures were pretty incomprehensible. As long as you read the book you'll be fine for tests.

Alexander is by far the worst teacher I have ever had. We learned nothing in class. He cannot spell. He leaves out crucial words in exams, projects, and homeworks all the time. He is often completely incomprehensible. If you have any option whatsoever, do NOT take any class with this professor. Horrible teacher.

To be perfectly honest, I don't know how he is a professor here. I haven't learned a thing this entire semester and my grade shows it. Tests and quizzes are full of grammatical mistakes and most of the time he end up giving you credit for completely wrong answers. I never thought Economics was a fun class, but now I dread even going to class.

ok i'm sorry, but he's boring as no other. you don't need to go to class because everything's just about reading the textbook and understanding it. his tests and quizzes aren't the easiest things though. stay on top of your problem sets and you'll get a good grade

I love Prof A!!! I hate economics but his explanations are crystal clear. And he is always eager to help. He even met with my study group at 1:00 just because we needed help. Sure sometimes he goes on tangents, but if you actually think about it, they are related to economics and they make lectures much more interesting! Go to class!!!

It was the worst class ever. If you are not interested in the subject then you certainly do not want to take it with him, because it will make you less interested....if it's even possible. He is so confusing and cannot write a coherent english sentence. Sometimes, he won't even finish the sentence on the test. It is terrible....do not take it!!!!!!

He seems to be making less and less sense every class. Don't ask questions; he'll confuse you even more than you were before. I tune him out so he can't mess with my head. I just study from the book, his tests are mostly out of it anyway.
