Super nice and caring professor. I took him for Env Science, which really wasnt my cup of tea but I enjoyed the class with him. Youll definitely need to study for the exams and do the homework, but thats expected. I would definitely recommend him.

Dr. Cooley was my FYE teacher as well. This man is cultured, has tons of ethnographic fieldwork experience, and genuinely enjoys teaching. His exams are easy if you participate in class discussion and the homework is routine and clearly presented. This guy made PCT worth it for me.

Comment:

Great instructor, very fair and actually uses plato. SCI100 was a walk in the park. For SCI 100 I wouldn't buy the book+access code combination. I would just buy the access code $40-60 and use the powerpoints on plato to use for the online homework. Book is a waste of money and not necessary for completion IF you are comfortable with basic enviro.

I took the class online and we would work on a chapter or two every week but he would never post the homework until Wednesday or Thursday and everything was due by Fridays at midnight. If you email him with a question he probably won't respond and you can expect him to take at least a month to grade anything major.

He is an okay teacher, but he does get off topic easily and he may seem unfocused sometimes. Notes don't really help in his class, as he only goes through 1, maybe 2 topics a day and you will have plenty of time to digest it. He tries to be clear, which is cool, but in the end he is really bad at explaining what he is talking about. 3/5 all in all.

He's a great professor! Extremely helpful and willing to help in any way. Gave easy work. Tests came right out of the quizzes from Plato. Make sure you print them off and study them. Lectures can be really interesting. HE really knows what he's talking about.

He is a very respectable man that has influenced my life tremendously. In Anthropology, he taught us how broad the range of human behavior is and to be less judgmental of those who are different than us, which is a very important lesson. His class is easy if you are at least somewhat interested in the subject matter and can keep an open mind.

Took online, which I don't recommend doing. Excessive amount of work. Read chapter or two every week. Then answer the homework questions, by the time your done with them you wrote a paper. Then watch a 1 to 2 hr movie every other week and answer questions on it. Forget taking notes for tests, alot of answers come from odd or none specific topics!

I had him for SCI100 and SOC113. One of the best professors I had at PCT. Incredibly intelligent and equally helpful. He's got a good sense of humor and he's really down to earth. Makes his classes really enjoyable. Great professor.
