Comment:
Easiest class in SB. I just looked at all the lecture echos (rarely went, early in the morning) and that was basically all I needed to pass. You won't really need the text since 95+% of the exam material is from the lectures and he hates the text, but if you want extra credit, you will need the text. The extra credit adds 6 points to final grade.

Lectures are extremely boring and dry and isn't mandatory. His exams are a bit difficult (50 MC) but I did pretty well on it because the questions are similar to those that are already posted online. Not an easy A but an easy B with the 6 pt extra credits.

Attendance is not at all mandatory and the lectures are posted online HOWEVER I learned all of his lecture slides, review sheets, and chapter outlines and still could not get about a 75 on a single exam. You are obviously doing something wrong if your class average is a 70. Gives a 6 point extra credit but I'd rather fairer exams

not an east A class at all, do not listen to what others say, you have to study hard core for his classes and you also have to buy the book and actually study, even when u do, if u have not taken an AP History class in your high school you are screwed. I took it thinking it was an easy A class but it turned out to be really hard.

If you're looking for a pretty easy A, take this class. I didn't do great on the tests, but the prof offered an extra credit assignment that added 6 points to the final grade. If you're looking for an amazing educational experience, look elsewhere. The prof can be dry and I don't feel as though I gained a deep understanding of American government.

Take this class for an easy DEC. Attendance is not mandatory at all, and he posts all the slides online. He gives a great opportunity for extra credit so getting a B or higher in this class is very easy. However, if you want an A, you will have to do some reading from the textbook. Take this class.

If it's hard to get up early and stay awake in the morning, don't take it. And, if u're not american citizen and u come from a country of a different political culture, this course could be hard. It's not about whether the course is interesting, but about whether u could stay awake and catch the testing points......

First of all, he's a great professor. Secondly, his teaching style is all derived from the textbook. Seriously if you take a look at his lecture notes, it's like a miniature version of the textbook. Thirdly his exams are all from the textbook so if you study from the textbook you're fine. I just had trouble waking up in the morning that's all haha.

I took him for POL 322 and the class is the same format: 3 non-cumulative exams, except here we did a "legislative simulation," which was fun. Very interesting class. He's a great guy with great personality and knows his stuff and teaches eloquently. Textbook readings assigned, but unnecessary. Best political science class for any major student.

Went to class three times, got an A-. It's simple, all you need to do is the reading. Every single one of his lectures is about the book. Extra credit quiz on BB are easy and help review. Final is not cumulative.

Really easy class. Didn't go often because all the lectures are on Echo. Studied for about an hour before each test and pulled off B's. Really hard to pay attention to.

Ok this Professor is absolutely fantastic! He's very interesting and you learn a lot from his class. I highly recommend it. Yeah it's at 8:30 but if you go the majority of the time, the grade will pay off in the end. Not an easy A, but def an easy B. Put in the little extra and the A is no problem.

Everyone says he's a good professor but he was really boring and it was extremely hard to be engaged with him at 830 in the morning. If you're not interested in history like me and is only taking this for a dec, you can find something else you'll enjoy for dec f and skill 4.

EXTRAORDINARY professor! Excellent personality. He gives clear notes and is very understandable when lecturing. His tests aren't difficult. He gives three and each aren't cumulative. He gives a 12 page paper, but it's not hard at all. He was a fair grader and wants his students to do well. Excellent course for and political science major!
