Comment:

Sokalski will intimidate you if he can, so don't let him! He's hilarious and will test you and call you on your mistakes. You'll learn a great deal in his class and if you approach him, he is fine with extensions, he just requires respect and adult behaviour. If he makes you cry, you probably are taking too high of a French class for your level.

If you want to learn French, this is the prof for the job. Teaches his class almost entirely in French. Expects you to know what he has taught in class. Exams= I surprised myself at how much I had learned in a semester.

Everybody complains about this guy, but he's one of the few university professors I encountered that actually treats students like adults and doesn't spoon-feed them like whiny high-school kids. If you think he's too hard, maybe you shouldn't be in university!

Any one who has problems with this prof, must be very socially maladjusted. He is tough and he expects a lot, but so what. This is university. If you can't pass his class you couldn't pass anything and you shouldn't be in university.

This prof isn't so bad. If you study for quizzes, the marks are easy. His tests are also pretty easy if you come to class and do a few exercices (80s, w/o studying). He teaches 99% in french which I don't like, but he's made a few funny jokes about whips and such. Take 121 if you want an easier clas

He has his on days and his off days. He can be a really big jerk, but if you actually talk to him in private and ask for help, he's usually willing to give you a hand. If you aren't good with languages (I'm not) I would look for a different professor. He marks pretty harshly.

He calls himself the star of class, telling his students that he is smart and they are stupid. Does not tolerate absences, even excused absences. Makes students cry. Picks on weaker students, deliberately trying to embarass them.
