Avoid. Take literally anyone else. There's gotta be a better way to teach excel than how he does it. Super monotone and boring. Doesn't really teach what functions do. youre just kind of copying what he does. Not effective. Again, AVOID.

honestly, he talks at the class and expects you to understand everything after it leaves his mouth. Exams are not straightforward from the material learned and he makes u think which sucks because he doesn't teach us anything.

He will make you think you are bad at Excel . His teaching and organizing abilities are on the level of a caveman with a traumatic brain injury. Also his office is a fire hazard.

A lot of people don't like him, but I would take him again. He teaches everything that you need to know in class, and if he's going too fast, you can just ask him to go over it again. As long as you pay attention in class, tests are all pretty easy.

He is one of the worst teachers I have ever had. If you don't know excel, you should buy Excel for Dummies because you're gonna need it. He goes through the excel document pretty quickly and doesn't explain it well. His tests are solely excel based (the first one was multiple choice also) and he uses complicated formulas for the easiest math.

Make sure you do the homework and show up to class! The classes are just lectures but he silently takes attendance and those absences add up. Tests are straightforward and are combinations of class practices and homework assignments. Also, make sure to turn in your homework and the redo's because he will give you a 0 even if you are a minute late.

PARTICIPATION MATTERS! My advice is to take this class during summer. He is kind and his lectures are super boring. what i did in class is to mock what he's doing from the projector and just literally follow where and what to click from the cursor. Study the practices for the tests AND YOU ARE FINE.

Do not take this professor. According to his office hours, he is available from 1-3 on Mondays. One Monday, I stopped by his office at 2 pm because I needed help desperately. When I got to his office and asked for some quick help, he rudely told me that he couldn't because he had to go to a class...? He is not helpful and his lectures are boring.

Gray is a-okay and I don't think he was a terrible professor. The class requires a lot of hard work and time and you need to really pay attention in class to get an A. Tips: DON'T TAKE NOTES - just listen and do the problems with him. Study the syllabus and redo the homework. Your grade is based more on the midterm than the final.

I don't usually say this about professors, but he is terrible. I've never had a professor ever refuse to help students or make his instructions clearer. He always uses the excuse, "I'm here to make you think, not receive a good evaluation!" I understand his intentions, but we're not mind-readers and this is a 1 unit course. Awful experience.

Gray is not easy, but he's not extremely difficult.You have to put in the time for the homework cause the homework are just like the tests.If you do not know anything about excel he goes pretty fast.Hands down He is the most boring teacher.If you have to take him though make sure to GO TO HIS OFFICE HRS to truly understand the material.

I don't know why everyone thought he was so bad, if you just paid attention in class and actually did the homework anyone would be fine. extremely helpful and goes over things again for you if needed. There are two graded homework assignments, a mid term, and a final. its boring, but I learned alot. Don't expect to sleep all class and get an A.

Terrible class. He does not communicate with his students (he will tell you after something was due what was supposed to be on it). He didn't even tell us when our project was due or what was on it before the class before it was actually due. Very unorganized and boring class.

This professor is a joke. Nice guy and he tries really hard, but poor teaching. He was always late to class and rarely prepared. The most common phrase coming out of his mouth was "I don't know why this isn't working." I learned the first two programs well, but I still don't understand access. Useful class and fairly low workload, though.
