Ok, this rate is coming from someone who absolutely loves ETHICS I was part of a rotary debate club but this teacher has sucked the fun out of ethics. She talks in circles, where EVERYONE IS CONFUSED. You think you're going over one thing to simply discover 20 mins later she's been going over something else. For the love of ethics DO NOT TAKE HER!!

Tough grader when it comes to papers. Also she expects you to know the terms the way she defines them if you don't present the answer in her way it is wrong.

She is a joy. She is willing to work with you if you need help. She makes the class interesting and helps you get better grades by giving a few questioned quiz every few days. She encourages you to join the discussion as well as lets you speak your mind on various topics. Very fun teacher.

Great professor. The subject matter is really interesting, and makes you think differently. She can be a bit monotone sometimes, and I had to make sure I didn't nod off, other than that she's amazing and I'd recommend her. Make sure you get a good grasp on the material.

Good professor but can be confusing, has a tendency to talk in circles. Don't forget to participate, she seems more interested in that than the actual material. In Ethics expect A LOT of quizzes.

DO NOT TAKE! Not only does she make history harder then it has to be, but her voice will make your ears bleed. Most annoying teacher I have taken.

DO NOT TAKE THIS PROFESSOR! I was really interested in this course before I took her. I was bored the entire semester AND confused. If you ask her to repeat a definition, you get a whole new one and on top of it all she's monotone. If you struggle paying attention or you have other hard classes, AVOID! Never again! She's smart...but a bad teacher:(

Great teacher, enthusiastic. Apparently, she had asked the class in the beg. of the semester whether we wanted to go in depth or not. We made it to the beginning of the Rev. War. Despite the slow speed, awesome history teacher - she gives bonus points for participation and mini-quizzes. Do the readings and ask questions!

Professor Brown is really interested in teaching Philosophy. You can tell, easily. She likes the repeat material OVER and OVER again and it IS hard to take notes. If you are unsure of your notes though, ask her to review them. She'd totally love to. She's funny, nice but very monotone. I fight zoning out sometimes but she's really great.

loved this professor. she repeats a lot things but they are drilled into your head then. she cares about her students and gives you points for asking questions and reading in class. i ordered the text book but for her phi class i did not think it was needed, you can just copy the pages that are needed, which isnt much. LOVED her

I never actually wanted to rate a professor more than i wated to rate this woman. First of let me say that she is a nice person and you can tell she loves teaching but the sad thing is that she isn't a good teacher. She is very boring. You don't know what to write as notes. She over dramatizes words. She talks too much. Too many pauses between words

The way professsor Brown teaches is supberb to say the least. She repeats material in a way that really drills it into your head. I still know ethics well. Honestly it helped me deal with ethical problems I had. I really doubted needing it, but I did. Thankyou Prof Brown!!

Very helpful professor and she does care about her students. Material is hard but professor Brown tries her best to make it understandable. If you have any questions at all, she is more than happy to answer them. We had 3 exams but participation counted as one exam, so make sure you don't miss any classes!

For an intro class its a bit difficult if you have no prior PHI experience, but Prof Brown is very willing to help and encourages questions. Class is 1 paper, and 2 exams, but she gives study guides. 10% is class participation. I highly recommend Professor Brown!

People complaining about Prof. Brown obviously didn't: pay attention in class, dedicate some time to the paper, or didn't bother to do even a little study. 1 paper and 2 exams. The exams were NOT all that difficult. I received an A and I am far from a PHI major! She can be a little boring, but she is helpful. It's college, you have to do SOME work!

What an amazing professor! Tough grader but still an amazing teacher. She's clear, funny, takes all questions and opinions and will explain anything. She uses real life examples as well as the books. However, you have to do a lot of reading. Midterm, final and 1 paper. Speak up though, 1/3 of your grade is participation.
