worst class I have taken during my college career. She is absolutely out of her mind with the grades she gave to her students during her last semester. I'm glad she is gone so that no one else has to suffer with her class. AGAIN...WORST CLASS EVER...WORST TEACHER EVER!!!!

Awesome teacher. I didn't understand much during the first month or so; however, just ask & take the time if you don't understand what she's looking for in the writing assignments. Loved the class!!!!!!!!

She actually scolded those who did not come to her late morning class on 9/11! And this is primarily a commuter college. She rewarded those who did show up--they connected in some way. But worse, she did not stick to her syllabus as she was working on her Queen Elizabeth book. Too much personality, not enough pedagogy.

She's nice and everything but I don't understand her grading. I did all the work and got A's on everything and she gave me a C.....wtf??? Maybe she doesn't give anything higher than a C because she went to Harvard and expects too much

Just make sure you go to class. Her grading does not make any sense. I did well on ALL assignments and received a poor grade in the class. Very nice person but her lack of organizational skills and ambiguous student expectations make her a poor teacher.

This lady's a trip! seriously, the class work is easy, but if you don't come to class and participate...the chances of passing are slim. She is definitely not organized... so make sure to document all your work and stay on top of things!

Could not stand her. She is very very unorganized.She wanted to know why i never came to her to talk about my grade...she never returned any papers. She either likes you or she doesn't. For those she doesn't like a missed class will DROP your grade...Lots of knowledge...but it gets lost in her lack of organizational skills.

Although very knowledgable, the course is a bore (reading - daunting!) and the professor is easily irritated. The topic was not reached until the second to last week of class. Worst of all, she did not hand out a reading list (quite disorganized). If she doesn't like you, she will make it very clear (ignoring emails, abrupt talk...). Avoid!

she's fantabulous! Best professor i've had at SJSU so far. She's helpful, sincere and dedicated to teaching, which is a great motivation. Highly recommended!
