Awful teacher. I have taken many higher level algebra and engineering classes but hers frustrated me the most. She skips steps in calculations and hardly explains anything. Her lectures are videos of her doing a couple problems in hyper speed without explaining how anything is factored. Tests are on campus which is ridiculous for an ONLINE course.

She is very intelligent and answers all questions. Her detailed explanations are very helpful but sometimes border with being boring. Make sure to hide your phone when youre on it because she will call you out.

Mrs. Madden Is a great teacher. She tries her best to explain the concept in a way that is understanding and accurate. Even as math major, her class requires some effort. I would recommend asking her questions during lecture and asking help for hw assignments. Do the hw and practice test problems because the tests mainly reflect your grade.

I have never excelled in math classes and taking Madden's online course was great. The class was tough but she is very attentive and her online handwritten demos through Abode were very helpful. It is not easy to communicate math problems through email!! I recommend her for anyone who needs this class!!!

Comment:

Gives out study guides and group quizzes (weekly) that correlate to the test which was very helpful so there were no surprises/crazy hard questions for what's on the tests. Homework not required, but useful. Helpful office hours. Lenient teacher. Calc 2 would have probably been a hard class, but Madden made it a lot easier with her teaching style.

Great professor. Would take again. She is a genius and explains everything in terms that are easy to understand and provides her own proofs of the concepts as well. Dr. Madden is the best! Her tests are tough, but manageable, and assigned homework that wasn't mandatory except for a few assignments here and there.

Very good teacher. We had a lot of quizzes, but they were group quizzes. Tests were not too bad. Many people thought she went a little fast but I thought it was perfect. Professor Madden rocks! You can tell that she wants everyone to succeed, and she gives you all the tools you need to get the A in her class. That being said, it is CRUCIAL that you do all the homework assignments and understand them. I did all the homework, asked questions when I had them, and the class went by very smoothly.

Terrible at explaining, class notes are useless. I needed to watch you-tube videos of the material before the lecture so I can grasp what she is saying. Lectures are scattered. No notes on the board just posts theorems from the book. Does not explain anything clearly. You can tell she wants us to learn, she tries, but just isn't a good teacher.

I have taken calculus in highschool and I thought that this would be a generally easy class. It was because of my background with Calculus. She is not very clear in her explanations and thats important because you need these basics for any future calculus. She does include a lot of easy grades to help boost your grade. The tests are surprising.

Great teacher. She really is clear and is super helpful. She always makes sure that you receive a thorough answer to any question you have. Quizzes where done in groups and tests were short and simple. Definitely recommend her!

Professor Madden was an alright teacher. She did an alright job explainging the material(we had a sub one day and i liked his teacher better than hers). There were two homeowrk assignments to be completed durning the semester and they sucked. I recommend her as long as your good at math.

Terrible! I suspect most of these rtngs are pstd by her or math mjrs. I've carried a 4.0 until I met Madden (have an F). The txtbk is terrible and her lectures are verbatim from the text. She makes massive jumps in her examples and your notes will be useless for hmwk and studying. The WORST mth teacher I've had. I cant xpress how bad in 350 crctrs!

This woman knows her stuff! Extremely helpful, will answer all questions. Very clear and easy to understand. Helps you understand the overall concepts. Just do the homework for your own benefit, come to class, and study before the test and your guaranteed atleast a C. She tries to help you out as much as possible!I wish she taught every MATH Class!

Had her for linear algebra (MTH 210) and calc 3 (MTH 152). She does a great job of explaining not just how to do problems, but also the concepts. She was the first math professor I had, and has inspired me to continue studying math. One of the best professor's I've had.
