She is by far the rudest, most disrespectful professor in Queens College i have ever come across. We are in college, we pay for our classes so we should be able to walk out when we want without being called out or asked "where are you going" she does not allow students to walk out whenever they want or need to. If i were you i would NOT take her.

Do not show up late. If you do then you are done and have no chance with her. Her mood swings are insane. Super nice and funny one day then so cruel the next day. If you show up, do the readings and participate and try hard you are good.

Let's put it this way: If you're a hard-working student who does the reading & participates in class, then she will reward you. If you're a slacker who sits in the back and shows up late, then she will treat you as such. I liked her, but I will admit she is very moody! Hilarious and happy one day; complete witch the next day. Take if you work hard!

She's the best. She is clever and kept my attention all semester long. Plus, she has this quirky sense of humor and had me laughing everyday. Just read the books and participate in class.

She is an amazing teacher. I learned a lot from her. We had a lot of reading material but that is why were in school- to learn. She might be tough but she prepaired me for graduate school. She also helped me if I had any questions about anything. Some of the comments made were too harsh.

Very demanding professor. Over Spring Break she assigned us 3 papers, 2 books, and 1 group project. If you take her course, be warned there will be A LOT of work. It was hard to focus on my other classes with the amount of work load she gave us.

She's a brilliant professor if a little "nutty." Prof. Tucker likes who she likes to the exclusion of others. Encourages class participation. If you are late and forget your book, you may as well not show up that day. As a professor, she's one of the BEST. Personally, she's a little strange.

I just want to add that her exams make no sense! The essay questions were ridiculous! Her quotes that we had to match with the text, and speaker were so out there. Even if you read the texts you still could not remember who said what. She does curve the exams though, which is a plus, because everyone must do so poorly.

I think it is time for her to retire. I have taken her twice & last semester she totally lost her mind. "Mood swing" is NOT the term. She is just miserable! We never followed the syllabus, we always ended up talking about something completely different-like Philadelphia or Henry James. Doing your work is not enough. AVOID at ALL costs!

This professor is a good teacher BUT she is a bit inflexible and therefore, inconsiderate. Does not understand extenuating circumstances as in the case of non-traditional students who have to work or have families. Instead, she makes students feel bad when they try to explain their situation. Is a bit self-righteous as well.
