Dr. Rao's lectures cannot lure anyone to sleep bc of his outgoing, passionate attitude towards teaching and learning. Ideal teacher for a public speaking class, but don't let that fool you. WE DON'T RLY USE THE TXTBOOK SO ONLY RENT IT. SAVE MONEY. If someone in your group isn't contributing much to the project, don't hesitate to inform him!

The class was really simple, especially for a public speaking class. I struggled a lot with my group members for the projects, but Dr. Rao was very understanding and supportive while I was dealing with all of the stress.

Great professor! Very caring and wanting to help his students succeed. He went into great depth of how its scientifically normal to be nervous public speaking and made it a very easy class to talk in. Would definitely take again

This class was literally harder than my level 400 classes. The amount of work that he assigned in the last 5 days of class was more than he assigned during the entire semester combined. Most of the assignments had a lot of grey area and most students had to rely on each other just to get by. That is not even including his quizzes. Good Luck!

If you are afraid to take an SI class, TAKE THIS ONE! Small group is awesome and his class is SO laid back, there is nothing to worry about if your nervous. Have to work for an A, but no one should get lower than a B; just go to class and youll do fine. quizies online, just read the book. Least worried about class, your voice counts, fun class

Anand was great! He likes to be on first name basis and that really reflects how he treats you in class. Great help in and out of class. He loves what he does and it shows. Just an all around cool guy.

Nice guy but he doesn't teach the class at all. Instead he relies on videos of old student speeches and presentations as examples of what he expects for each assignment. Not one lecture by him but you must attend each class and he relies on you to provide feedback to your classmates by posting comments which is part of your grade. What a joke!

Very nice, professional guy. I like him as person a lot, however, he would just kind ask questions and let the class "discuss" our way to the answer, but would never give us a clear idea of what we were supposed to be getting out of it. Would've preferred a more organized, clear method of teaching. Not sure what I was supposed to have learned here.

This class was awesome. I love this professor and he is funny as hell. We spent an entire day talking about facebook and myspace. Rao is an awesome guy. His test was a bit of a suprise though because he doesn't go over much material in class, time is usually spent doing group problem solving exercises. Take this class.
