The scoring system for the midterm and final projects which make up a large part of your grade is extremely flawed. In general, grading for assignments like weekly homework were inconsistent. As far as teaching, she sometimes makes slideshows but really makes you just figure out on your own what she expects through trial and error.

By far one of the best professors at SHU. She is extremely friendly and approachable. This class is very interactive and required the consistent participation of ALL students. She facilitated class discussion with ease & featured excellent guest speakers that were highly beneficial for students. She encouraged students to network, network, network!

Professor Gumbus is amazing! She is so fun and interesting and more importantly, she makes the course interesting. She will help you in any way she possibly can. Just a mid-term, final, and a group project. Tests are a bit challenging but everything is from the PowerPoints. As long as you read those, you'll do good.

Favorite teacher at SHU! Classes are interactive. Don't take this class if you want to just be on a laptop all class and not participate. Easy A if you do work, Easy B if you do a little bit of work. BU 257 - Best teacher to take for it. No notes for 2 tests. BU 202 - Great for this too. Open notes for 2 tests.

Took her for 257 also. Definantly DOES care about attendance so I dont know what that other person is talking about. No computers. Class is interactice. Reccomend more for 202 thou. Repeats things and can be inappropriate at times towards students. Definant feminist. Nice woman thou & understanding.

Really great woman. No homework, just two presentations decent grader. Midterm is fair. and she is NOT strict on attendence... doesn't even take it. Nice lady - you really learn alot. Highly reccommend her... haven't heard of better prof for ethics.
