Comment:
Dr. Battista was my thesis mentor and was a wealth of knowledge to say the least. Very Insightful and willing to help. I think he is a bit of a perfectionist, but that matched my own personality well and contributed to a result that I was proud of. Would definitely recommend!

Dr. Battista is an extremely intelligent individual, but his classes are not easy. I managed an A in here somehow (still don't know how), but this is the closest I have come to losing my 4.0. With that said, the amount of info you learn is substantial and I would take him again. Non-majors should probably avoid, but a great professor for majors.

Dr. Battista is very smart and he knows the subject well. His class can sometimes get boring because all you do is read chapters and go over them in class. You learn a lot through him though but it's hard to get a perfect A in his class.

Dr. Battista is very professional, but he can joke around with the class when the time is right. You definitely need to read the textbook, because his tests ask about specific things that the author thinks and mentions in the chapters.

Dr. Battista is an extremely intelligent man. He loves his subject, and he wants you to learn. I think he's great, but I will never take him again. He is the toughest grader that I have ever had. Don't expect to make an A unless you know the material as well as he does. Very strict grader.

Interest groups in American Politics. Seems like one of those easy poli-sci classes like "Hey, the Chinese government is kinda weird, right?": No it is VERY not. This was EXTREMELY difficult. I made the extreme mistake of slacking off and ended up only saving my grade at the end. This class will teach you a lot about interest groups but is hard af

He's very passionate about his subject, and a very good speaker. His tests are hard though, and he will nitpick your essays and take off lots of points. You can expect to learn, but you shouldn't expect an A unless you know the material as well as he does.

I took Battista for Intro to American Government. He was a wonderful professor, and was really quick to return emails. There are lots of notes to take, but as long as you take detailed notes you will do good on the test.

Political science is his passion. If you are looking for an easy A, this is not your class. However, if you want your work to be analyzed by a really good teacher, this is for you. It was hard to make A's in this class, but an A in this class is something you will cherish.

A very intelligent man with out a doubt. He knows what he is talking about and does not care to help as many times as needed. He is very nice and as long as you study and do exactly what you are supposed, you shouldn't fail. Getting an A is another story though. It can be pretty hard at times but I recommend this teacher to anyone.

A good and helpul teacher, and very intelligent. Very clear in his expectations, but a very tough grader. I found an "A" to be a mirage in his class: always beckoning, yet always just out of reach. Dr. Battista is very no-nonsense. Do the work and you'll come out ok.

He is a pretty good teacher. He is really nice and understanding. However, he talks alot and can say the samething over and over again. But he's okay. Make sure and study the essay questions!! That counts as 80 points on the tests!

Go to class, read the material, take notes, and review these notes before his exams. Lots of essays on the exams, but if you simply review the material, you'll be fine. Very clear lecturer. Take him for Intro to American Government or any upper level American Politics course.
