Comment:

If you are looking for a course with clear cut instructions, do not schedule a course with this instructor. Sure, he gives instructions but the instructions aren't helpful and VERY vague. Also, you better be an art major when entering his courses because he will deduct A LOT of points if items just aren't pretty enough for his taste.

First few weeks of class were easy going and enjoyable, however, Mr. Lundquist will take you back into your Kindergarten or High School days. I am able to take his tough critique, but it's just a total turnoff how much he gets involved into a students life in the worst way possible. He doesn't understand how much he pushes students away.

He ONLY goes off of the book. Doesn't lecture at all. The only thing you do when you go to class is watch him fumble with the book exercise and you follow along. As for the homework, he's really unfair and unclear about the guidelines. He doesn't seem that knowledgable or helpful with any of it. And he's definitely not afraid of calling you out.

This guy is not very intelligent. Asks you to copy code but can't describe the code to you. not helpful in the least. Gives attitude if you have questions. avoid him like the plague. Not current on software and not a web designer.

Most of my techs were with this guy. He can be a huge ass one day and the nicest guy the next. Leave his alone on bad days. Take notes on what he says he likes and doesn't like (don't use Courier). Design like he's your client. If you need help, you MUST ask. Make an appointment if necessary. Check Blackboard often for changes to assignments!

Great instructor! I've had him for Four different course so far, both online and in class and I have loved his class every time! He's great at responding to emails as fast as possible, and is rather funny in class. Some people don't like him because he is a very boisterous, but hey, you can't be perfect at everything, and he will let you know that!

Jon has a difficult personality. Admitting he was vague, he gives everyone C's for not following vague directions. He definitely picks favorites. I showed up every week and put forth my very best web site design for the final and somehow got an F for participation and C for the final. Emailed 3 times for feedback on grades. no response

As a professional reentering college, I have found his instruction extremely helpful. He is critical, but in this field you need to know what works & what doesn't. If you can't take his constructive critiques, then you won't make it in the real world. Clients will tell you when they feel your work is crap, believe me. You LEARN from your mistakes!

Comment:

Best advice is to show up and listen to him. He likes to talk, but he gives out good information that can come in handy in the future. He will lecture you, critisize your work, and a few other things; but the info you gain will help improve your work and better to recieve it now than when you have a job. Get him late in the day, gets to the point.
