He is one of the nicest guys you'll ever meThe class is interesting and he is full of self criticism. He is very open about the fact that he is a conservative, and while this does give his class a natural bias--he is very open to criticism of his own bias/beliefs. You won't regret taking the class.

By far one of the best professors at OSU. He keeps you entertained in lectures, and really helps you to learn a lot. There's a reason I didn't stop taking his classes. I'm pretty sure he's leaving academia, but if you ever get the chance, take one of his classes!

This was an amazing class! I thbought the class was a bit too easy for the 600 level. You really will learn alot about politics and the media in this class. This is the best political science class I have taken at OSU. Andrew does an amazing job teaching his students. He is very passionate about his topics and this clearly shows in the classroom.

He's not a full-on conservative, he "swings both ways" (as quoted by himself and his work with both Bush Sr. and Clinton administrations)but is definitely fair in his teachings. You will really enjoy Professor Holbrook's 501 class. Although some people find that teachers who read presidential biographies for fun are boring; this is not the case! He keeps the class interesting, is very entertaining, and is extremely organized with PowerPoint presentations and other helpful links he posts online. Thumbs up; way up!
