Such a stellar class and such entertaining lectures. Some find his MC tests tricky, but if you do the reading -textbook and outside articles- and take very detailed notes in class you'll do fine.

Professor Ward is an adonis-- a brown (soon to be gray) fox whose ardor for nitpicking at grammar and knack for cognitive dissonance charts inspire uncontrollable passion in his students (me). I sit at the front of the class so that our increased propinquity facilitates greater familiarity. Would that Sci 199 were a shaky bridge!

Professor Ward is extremely intelligent, funny, engaging, open, and helpful. By far, he's the most dedicated professor I've ever had. Not to mention, his cognitive dissonance chart is basically the greatest chart of all time. Actually, I take it back. Don't take the class for Professor Ward; take it for his chart.

I liked the way the class was run because it was informative but his occasional ramblings kept things entertaining. He once appeared in Glamour magazine and for some reason knows Elle's dog's name from Legally Blonde.

Class is usually lots of fun. He likes to go on a lot of tangents, but he makes up for it by showing lots of videos and covering the material intensely. He is a bit detail oriented on exams, but if you study you should be fine.

Very difficult tests, asks specific details and high-level analysis. all lecture notes, textbook readings, and outside readings are fair game. however, his lectures are very entertaining and interesting, with lots of candid camera clips. highly recommend but be ready to study HARD!

Awesome lecturer, hilarious and nerdy-cute. Material itself is very interesting, but watch out for his exams!!! VERY VERY VERY hard (though fairly curved)

Absolutely hilarious in a dorky way. His video clips, which may be too many in number sometimes, are all entertaining. You can slack off in class, but if you want to pass, read the textbook and TAKE NOTES!!!

Ward is smart, has a great sense of humor, and is really down-to-earth. The lectures are interesting, and he liberally intersperses them with fun video clips. Pretty much all you have to do is read before each class. The tests can be challenging, but there are only three of them in the whole semester, and Ward has a generous curving policy.

Well dressed, smart, funny and full of energy. Probably one of the best lecturers I've ever seen and also very helpful in person. Exams are tricky. Even in a large class setting, he'll learn your name if you ask him a question, more importantly, he'll remember it. Very handsome when he wears black (as he did during one exam).

I really want to know if he is married. All the girls and half the guys have secret/forbidden crush on him. It's no joke. He's so charismatic, clear and very fair. Studying shouldnt be a biggie because it's actually very interesting materials (gives awesome video clips). Anyway, I'm in love with him...for real. Im seriously going to marry him

Ward is by far the best lecturer I had at swat -- he covers the material at a good pace and he is both funny and charismatic. He's very helpful in person. He also is excellent at leading discussion, both in large classes and seminar. He also really knows his stuff. If you are going to take psych 1, try to take it with Ward or Schwartz.
