The class is only worth 2 hours, but she assigns work like its a 5 hour class. My chemistry class with a lab wasnt this hard! Overall shes a nice lady, she just doesnt understand that her teaching method doesnt work. My worst class this semester by far.

I greatly enjoyed having Dr. Russell as a professor. Though she is a bit monotonous at times, she obviously knows what she is teaching and will do everything in her power to help you succeed. That being said, she takes the educations program very serious and you should too if you are going into teaching for the right reasons.

Dr. Russell is a good professor, but she is very mono-toned and that makes it hard to pay attention to what she is lecturing over. In this class, there is a lot of work to do. You learn a lot from this class.

She is fair. Monotoned. When she lectures, majority of the information she is reading word for word from her power points. Tests are difficult. I studied a lot and still ended up with a C.

Diagonstics & Teaching Reading II.She is very soft-spoken, old-fashioned, and some would say monotonous. You must have high attendance or she will drop you a letter grade. The quizzes we had were essay and very difficult--they took many hours of studying. She likes "peer grading". Thematic units were a good project, but ask for lots of help.

I had her for language arts and after you sit in class for what feels like 6 hours you look at a clock and realize that only 10 minutes have gone by. Too bad you really can't get around having her for classes. She is nice and gives loads of extra credit but she does things differently than the rest of the ed dept.

I have learned so much valuable information to take into my own classroom. Dr. Russell's classes ROCK!!! She's soft-spoken, but that's her style. Will take her with me when I teach. She's so smart and really cares that our future students have the best prepared teachers.

I have had Dr. Russell for three classes and this is the first one I have enjoyed her in. I don't really know what the difference is except that this class does not involve distance sites, so that may make a difference. You have to pay attention in her classes, which has been hard for me in the past, especially early morning classes. She can be ok.

She's monotone and monotonous.She's also my advisor and she's of no help. She's put me in classes and then after taking them told me that I really didn't need them for my major. Avoid taking her at all cost!
