NOT FOR THE WEAK! Dr. Ellis is awesome! Yes, the work load is pretty intense but it is worth it and at the end of semester you will truly earn your grade. Dr. Ellis is very intelligent and forces her students to engage. She brought out a creative side of me that I didn't know I had. You will work, but its worth it! If your lazy, drop the class.

I had her for my freshmen year for WGST220 and WGST225. In my first class on my first day of college, she told us that she would not treat us any less than how ivy league students were treated. I feel grateful that I have had the opportunity to take her as a professor. She can be give plenty of work, but the work is rewarding.

Dr. Ellis is a phenomenal educator. I learned so much in her class. It really challenged me to look at society and the plight and discrimination so many groups face. I was also challenged to look at my privilege, something I hadn't really done before. Come prepared to class. Make sure you read the book and come ready to talk about the readings!

Dr Ellis gives a lot of work and likes you to participate in the class discussion. If you are taking over 4 classes don't take her. You have to work hard for your grade plus she gives too much work will never take again.

Absolutely love Dr. Ellis and will take her again. The course is a lot of work, but Dr. Ellis works with you, as long as you communicate with her. She really has a heart for her students and loves what she does. She is very funny and really gets you to think about what she is teaching and will force you to participate.

Dr. Ellis is a GREAT person. She really makes you work hard and thing about the topics discussed in class. She's very funny and relatable . At the beginning of the semester I sat in the corner quiet & by the end of the semester I was participating more !! Dr. Ellis will really make you but it's because she cares about her students.

She opens up your eyes to the "real world". You'll hate her as a professor due to all the work she gives but love her as a person, she is very caring and motivates you to achieve your goals. Probably one of the best professors NJCU has.

She's not so helpful, i understand we are student but then we are humans as well. Not everything prof say that we understand. She definitely do not grade right or teach right. She makes it seems like thats the only class we all taking by giving loads and loads of assignments&useless projects that makes no demn sense. Felt i was in DOCTORS SCHOOL.

I am taking this professor right now, all i'll tell you is DO NOT TAKE HER. I am all A's when it comes to this kinda of class but then with her it totally made me feel diff bout the class. SHE GIVES TOO MUCH WORK THAT IT GETS ALL STUDENTS CONFUSE THE HELL WE RE IN THE SUBJECT. SHE ALSO PICK ON STUDENTS WHICH I FIND RUDE. SHE DO TOO MUCH.

Professor Ellis is very dedicated teacher. I learned many things in her class that really gave me a different view on life. Her reading assignments are very lengthy and the exams require a lot of studying. She is a great professor with a warm heart and awesome personality. The class is hard. But, so very interesting as well. She is a great woman, though she can seem pretentious when she has guest speakers. She likes photo ops, I've noticed. She expects a lot from a lower leveled class and the readings are mandatory, you literally can not pass unless you read. I got a D in the class but transferred after that semester

She really is an amazing person. She should be repeated always. However, she is a very tough professor. This was 100 level course and should be basic. Requires way to much work, essays, tests, and most of all readings. Be prepared to do all the that every single week. If your looking to a easy class don't take this one. Other than that sh amazing.
