Arthur likes to go on tangents and also makes assignments hard to understand. A lot of things get lost in translation. Sometimes his feedback is too vague for my liking. Other than that, he is one one of the greatest designers I have met and clearly means well. He gives individual feedback if you go ask for it and I am taking him next semester.

Arthur is really knowledgeable and sometimes goes on tangents because of that. However, if you're having trouble do go and seek him out for help. His help comes best when it's individualized. Can only realize how great he really is if you get to really talk to him. Grades can be a little ambiguous at times, but he's good at seeing who works hard.

Arthur is highly qualified and helpful. He grades reasonably and points out where there is room for improvement. I wish he taught more of the Graphic Design courses! This was one of my favorite courses at New Paltz.

Talk with him individually 1 on 1. Don't expect to get anything out of the class otherwise. He knows A LOT, he just has a tendency to go off on a lot of tangents because he does know so much and isn't the greatest at filtering the relevant stuff. Talking with him 1 on 1 is immensely helpful.

he sometimes confused more than helped me, he gives quick technical instructions that aren't much help especially with desinging projects. but all u have to do is ask him for his opinion and he is beyond helpful.

This professor is awesome. He really is passionate about his classes and what he does. He loves typography, he loves books and he's good at all of them. if you're a design major, he's the one to admire and get close to during your undergrad career.

Arthur ROCKS! Such a nice guy, very friendly & easygoing. He is VERY helpful during classtime, stopping at each students computer to check out whats going on. HE LOVES BOOKS! Checkin out a couple typography books from the library can go a long way. He can even suggest some if interested. Gives ample time for projects, but grades dont come quick

He did not give grades though out the semester. He couldn't explain to me me why i recieved the final grade i got. He did not return my phone calls or e-mails. He was not in his office during office hours. I wait outside his classrooms to make appointments with him, and then he would not show up. He is a lousy teacher and almost caused me not to graduate.

Arthur's Typography class was the best thing EVER. Totally turned my on to print based design. He is increadibly knowledgable, and very helpfull and caring with his students!!!!!!
