Judge Hoffman is a pioneer in Sex Crimes/Criminal Justice and has been at the forefront of many real-world initiatives. In addition to having many years of experience as a judge, he has a long track-record of accomplishments in the CJ field. It's a SHAME that Rutgers wants to have armchair academicians in the CJ dept instead of ppl with real exp.

Judge Hoffman is the BEST professor I have ever had at Rutgers. He is very interesting and very funny and very interactive with the students. I have learned the most from this class than any other class and I really enjoyed learning. also, the guest lectures were really good.

His class is hard, but he is willing to help students understand. I had some hard times, but he was great, and helped me out a lot...even took the time to go over any questions students had if they were confused, after class or before. Great guy! exams can be tricky

Judge Hoffman is great. His class was fun, guest lecturers were interesting and important people. Never missed class cause i actually liked what he had to say. Knows what hes talking about and has experiance, so he can explain things in a way you can understand. Not a lot of reading and exams are easy if you go to class

Horrible teacher. He turned Intro to CJ into NJ law 101. Guest speakers are boring yet must memorize for exam. Exams are hard with arbitrary questions. Miss one class and you might as well drop the course.
