Funny teacher & a Good guy. All you really have to do is show up, do one presentation (maybe), and write the 3-4 short papers. He does not have an email though so he's not accessible outside of class. Gives you a good amount of excused absences though. Easy A, take him!

You don't need to do the readings, however attendance is mandatory. We had 2 essays (then you need to use the book) and if you don't miss class, you can get an A. Lectures are long, but he always makes funny jokes. Definitely recommended to fulfill requirement.

Never thought I'd say it, but a year out from Lehigh this is the class I got the most out of. LISTEN to what this man has to say about slave morality--he might actually have more profound things to say on the subject than Nietzsche himself did (makes sense since he has the 20th century to look at--and it will guide you the rest of your life.

The class is the easiest and most fun class I have ever had. He just rambles, he's hilarious... Direct quote: "Looks like we won't get to Marx this semester. To do that I would have to teach this like a real class, which I'm just not willing to do." I wrote 12 pages on 2 books that I have never even seen, and got the A. Take at all costs.

Incredibly chill, disenchanted vietnam vet. Very memorable class experience. Just wants students to really think about life. Really couldn't care less about grades. People sign up for this course just cause it's easy, then bash the prof? If you don't want to think, or at least read the wiki on Nietzsche, don't take philosophy.

Cool guy who was pretty interesting in lecture. Mandatory attendance was kind of annoying but as long as you show up and write a couple of paper should be OK. His topics for essays were worded in a rather confusing way. Additionally you had to kind of defend his point of view for the topics, which if you don't agree can be tough to write about.

He is a solid devil's advocate for learning Neichctze and Marx whom are hard for Americans to understand. He's great whether you're in it for the grade or to understand and question some modern philosophy that is not often given full attention in the still lingering analytic philosophy predudice.

took for philosophy, very easy, clear, and interesting class however took ethics thinking it would be the same, but it was much more difficult and in-depth and the amount of assigned readings and papers due was wayyy too much for a low level course :'(
