Okay I'll say something nice along with what I just said, She has a good heart yes .. and she is nice but that doesn't help me be interested in the class!! I'ts very obvious how much she loves what she does but there is just no FIRE!

She can't hold a class for very long because no one really respects her. She rambles, but she is very helpful with essays and allows revisions with comments so people can get an A no matter what. Most of the time is spent outside the class working with groups. I think her help with essays makes up for her lack of teaching. Shes a very nice person.

I am very disappointed with this class. She gets off track all of the time and is unclear on exactly what she wants from the assignments. She also tends to change the assignments the week after she assigned them. I had a hard time really getting anything from this class, except some good opportunities for writing on my own.

Class was very easy, but majority of time was spent writing papers OUTSIDE!!! of class. Class was taught in computer lab, so it was basically goof off or do research for your paper if you wanted to. Prof. was nice but quiet and can get off target when speaking about something. I would take her again.

Children's literature was amazing! I loved her course. The assignments were clear and really opened my eyes to new facets of childrens books. Her 1520 course was less clear. I liked the portfolios, but was unsure much of the time what was expected of me. She banned certain topics, like the death penalty, then spent class time discussing them.

Prof Catherino is definately interested in what she teaches, but tends to stray from the issues. Unfortunately her stories take up time that should be used to clarify what she expects from her students. I did find her to be biased and judgemental at times of areas beyond her understanding.
