Becky is amazing! She is a lot of fun and incredibly passionate about film. I've had her as a professor on and off since freshman year, and it's been a privilege. While occasionally she gets carried away with directing on student sets, it's only because she cares. She has a huge heart and I'll miss her when I graduate/she retires next semester.

Prof. Abbott is so sweet and gives the easiest tests of my life. Half of this class is watching movies and the other half is discussing them -- it's like a dream class. Quite a lot of textbook reading, but it's all relevant.

Becky is tough. There is a lot of textbook use and it is a dense text book. Majority of what is tested out of the book is not gone over in class. This is a required course so as long as you study and have an interest, you will do fine. It is not an easy A though

Wonderful professor who can give you an amazing insight on the world of film wether it is your major or not. All you need to do is study, and don't completely half-ass tests/papers and you can do really well. I ended up with an A and I certainly didn't go above an beyond, just paid attention, did my work, and showed genuine interest.

Becky is a very nice woman but can be extremly picky. I took her for a directing class and it wasn't how you wanted to direct --it was hers. You can tell her your ideas but she tells you to do it a different way because her way is better. She's nice but too controlling.

Film will never be the same to me after taking this class. Professor Abbott really opens up your eyes and you will notice things you've never noticed before. She is also a pleasure to work with and is very passionate about what she teaches. Every production student needs to take her at least once in their career at Quinnipiac.
