Ben Jimenez is not only a great math teacher but a great human being. I had him back in high school for pre-algebra, Algebra 1A & 2B, and College Algebra(ELAC). He was a great motivational speaker which adds to his many skills. He inspired me to learn and after 35 years, I can solve many of those equations today. Thank you, Ben Jimenez!

Professor Jimenez does an excellent job. You will learn the fundamentals, but he will also show you how to intelligently use your Ti83. Read ahead, PRACTICE the homework as much as possible (not collected) and you will do just fine in the exam. He gives you these really useful handouts that break down the material and very similar to the exam. GL

Great professor, clear understanding of chapters and will only teach what is necessary. Homework is given, however he does not collect it. Quizzes daily, about 4 tests and final. Got a sense of humor also really did enjoy his class. Study hard and easy A.

This pro. is not that bad but I wouldnt take him again becuase he plays around to much. I personally wouldn't take his class again he makes a lot of weird jokes but overall he has a good teaching strategy. So If you can ignore his weirdness than take this class. One more thing, make sure you show up to class you will be left behind if you don't.

Prof. Jimenez is a great professor his lectures are clear, quiz every day, miss a day miss the quiz. Took a Summer class and it was intense, Math is subject that's not easy for me, even with tutoring was not able to pass. Drops lowest test and no extra credit , I recommend taking him but if your bad at math DO NOT TAKE HIM FOR SUMMER.

JIMENEZ!! is a diamond at ELAC, he's very caring and an awesome professor. The class is hard not a walk on the park, but he makes it fun and short! which i loved. He only shows you what you need and all the short cuts. To pass this class you need to give it your all no time be slack off. Mr. Jimenez stats class will put you in STATS level.

He teaches you exactly what you need to know in order to pass his class. He also gives you all the shortcuts. He assigns hw but doesn't collect it and there's a quiz every time you meet. He does his part but you need to do yours and study in order to pass. I recommend him. His teaching style makes math easy to understand.

Honestly the best math professor I've ever taken. He cares about his students. He looks mean but he really isn't, if you have any question he's willing to help you. Do alot of studying cause you won't pass if you don't. I'm definitely keeping his notes for the future. Plus he shows you all the short cuts to stats .

I really like how Professor Jimenez teaches. He's straightforward with the material and allows you to understand statistics without complications. There's a quiz in every class and that's a plus because it helps you learn the material for the tests. He puts in his part and you just need to put in your part and study to do good. I'd take him again!

Be ready to be at math level. He goes through the material super fast. Forget about asking questions like "where did you get this from?" Professor Jimenez-"my head" or "I'm tired"or "I have bigger problems, forget it" He gives a hand out with 10 problems & thats it, class is over one hr b4. I had to drop, which I have never done. I felt belittled.

He is clear, concise and to the point and won't bore or confuse the heck out of you especially for those like me, "math challenged"! I can honestly say it was the only math class that I enjoyed and if I had to take another math class, I would definitely choose Professor Jimenez!

Just the perfect professor for math! makes if fun but in a "serious" way (if it makes sense) he makes sure you understand you are there cause YOU want to learn and not waste anyone's time, i wish i could have taken him for my calculus classes too!

After two years of attempting Stats at numerous schools I've come across a professor who could really get me to understand the subject. There was a quiz daily, two test and a final. I didn't do so well on the test but did for the final combined with my quiz scores I managed a C. Perfect for me! Pay attention in class and make friends to study with.

Yes he does leave homework but he doesnt collect it nor gives credit :) I RECOMMEND YOU DO THE HW THOUGH B/C WHATS ON THE HW IS ON THOSE MINI QUIZES HE GIVES.
