I took her class in 2001 - You wonder why i am just posting now? i realized while writing a paper for my class ( i am a Ph.D student now) that it was her class that gave me the foundation to become a better writer. She is an amazing teacher, she pushes you to be at your best, and if you are lazy you will not succeed.

My 1st Eng prof at ELAC, She s the best English professor I ever had. I was an intl student. My writing skills has been greatly improved after taking her class. So, if you really want to learn, TAKE HER, you wont regret it.

Let me begin by saying that she is absolutely the best teacher I?ve ever had. She not only cares about your improvement but you as a person.She made me feel so relaxed and challenged at the same time. British lit is tough to begin with! I love the feminist approach she uses when dealing with the literature. Herrera is very tough. So if you are going to slack off do not take this course. She is one of the best teachers on this campus

best teacher ever. very thorough, you learn things in there that you didn't know before. she makes you do a lot of work, but it's to your own benefit and isn't hard. the reading is usually interesting, if you're not interested in english or you can't write good essays or want an easy C, take someone else. those who know their**** take this class.

She has outrageous amounts of homework (reading and writing assignments) but I've learned alot from her, her midterm was an essay in 1 1/2 hours, 3 essays and 1 research paper. Don't be late to her class either.
