He could not stay on topic. Would get off on a tangent about solar panels, stock, terrorism, and the Hershey chocolate factory every single day. Easily distracted.

Here we go. Mr. Pearson is a REALLY smart guy. He's definitely willing to help! I made the mistake of taking a blended course, meaning that we only met once a week. BIGG MISTAKE. He's one of those people that is so smart that it's difficult saying things so that a beginner will understand. He's smart, honest, and helpful, but it's difficult..

Pearson's CPT160 can be described as nothing short of a disaster. Students are required to purchase two books & a piece of software totaling upwards of $300 for a beginner class - and none of it is useful. The entire class is spent using an outdated and poorly designed flowcharting program that is quite frankly detrimental to properly programming.

Pearson's course consisted of dreadfully boring power points and unrelated lectures. Homework is light, but difficult to find in his terribly laid out blackboard page. If you want to learn, read your book at home.

An excruciating capstone course for all of the wrong reasons. Tangentially related assignments with incredibly confusing instructions are the norm here. He's very generous with his grading but there is a ton of work to be done so do not take it lightly. You probably won't learn anything in this class, but if you made it this far, it's mandatory.

Denny was great... Always willing to help a student. I took his micro computer concepts class online and I had a couple small issues with the course. I just called him and we worked everything out. Ended up with a 98%. Nearly everybody at wccc has to take this class, so do yourself a favor and get mr Pearson as your professor.

Great Guy , Really Helpful ! He can get off task but the class is really your pace & he is helpful and a caring teacher ! I really enjoyed the class it was comical as well . Class Never went the whole time it stated . Got a A + and completed the coarse early.

Great guy with lots of experience actually doing the work he is teaching. Warning-he may come off at first as the "absent minded professor", don't let that fool you. The guy is fair and will spend as much of his own personal time with you as you need to understand what he is teaching. All around good guy.

Denny is a great teacher. If you come into his class and show an interest to learn you will pass. His books can be dated at times but it's the information they contain that is still in use (sometimes you won't even need to buy the books) He can be a little eccentric but if you go with an attitude to learn and don't blow him off you will learn.

This was my first semester at WCCC, and I already dropped this class. The reasons are: He never updated anything from last semester, there are no deadlines, and he won't respond to email. There are no asignments posted that I'm supposed to do and I just can't take this is the teacher wont' respond. He's using an 03 verson microsoft, and all have 07

I had Dennis for Intro to the Internet. He was never there but he gave everyone in the class an A if you showed up and turned in the assignements. If you want to learn anything I wouldn't suggest him as a prof but if you want an easy A take him.

Mr. Pearson was not a good prof to take online classes from. Due dates were never posted, but if assignments were not turned in "on time" points were not awarded. His syllabus was old and never updated. Overall he was unavailable to ask questions of. Students were supposed to help each other per the discussion board. He was not a good online prof.

Had Dennis for an my first Online class. He used the old book Syllabus and never updated it to the new book. He would not answer many questions and went weeks at times before he posted homework assignments. I was not satisfied with his online class but other students said other teachers were different. I will steer clear of Pearson's classes.
