I think that this professor took on entirely too much this semester with being department chair. She spent a lot of time defending women and her views on equality for all, but did not practice any of them. I thought she was very unfair and biased. Grading was very inconsistent and based on opinion and not criteria.

Ok, this class is meant to be hard and challenging and it is, BUT.. she in no way is helpful. She talks down to people and as soon as you question her methods, she dislikes you. She demands a tremendous amount of work, but her grading scale in no way reflects the work put into the class. I wouldnt have her again.

This is not an easy course and the instructor is demanding. Is that bad? I give a thumbs up. You will have to work and think in this class. Dr. McKinley does a great job, hard work is rewarded and mediocre effort also gets what is deserves in this course. Great teacher! Not a popularity contest.

She can be nice, however if u do the slightest thing to make her upset she will be very hard on you when it comes time to grade your unit plan. Just dont make her upset, even go as far as to make it personal, very unprofessional.

Dr. Mc. is human like the rest of us but she gives in too easily to her emotions and defense mechanisms. She knows her stuff and seems to have a jovial nature however looks are extremely deceiving. Offend her in anyway, even unintentionally, and...ouch!
