Im probably going to have to drop and retake her class only because I didnt have a book majority of the semester which my grade suffered because of it. But if I had one I would of passed, she gives you the material to pass no excuses most of it comes from the Homework. Do the homework and you will pass.

Mrs. Nelson is the OG!! The class consist of 18 quizzes (takes grade of top 10) 3 Test and a Final which counts twice. She drops your lowest test grade which is very nice. The class is pretty difficult, but Mrs. Nelson will help you if you ask. She is an excellent professor and I would definitely recommend for Business Calc.

Math is not my forte, so even signing up for this class was stressful for me. But, Professor Nelson was accessible the entire time and made the curriculum a little more simple for us liberal arts majors. The class isn't easy by any means, but it's nice to know that Professor Nelson is rooting for you to do well!

Professor Nelson did an amazing job at helping me fully understand the material as well as always answering all questions any student needed. Homework is given but only for the students benefit. Show up to class to learn better, those who didn't ended up failing a couple exams. Otherwise, she is a good teacher with a sense of humor.

Comment:

Mrs. Nelson is an excellent and inspired teacher with a great sense of humor. It's obvious how much she cares for her students, and her goal is to help everyone get a passing grade. What we learn is relevant to real life, and she makes it interesting. In addition, I think the text is excellent and actually interesting--I may even keep it!

This Teacher is not easy. She states the first day of class (like a badge of honor) that her class is going to be hard. That she gives a ton of homework. That her test are too long and excessive. All of that is true. She switched to MyMathLab for 0312 Developmental Algebra. I had almost 130 hrs. total for the semester. Too Much Work.

Wonderful teacher. Class was very fun and she taught very clearly. I was in her office almost every morning to ask for clarification on the homework and she gladly helped me every time.

Ms. Nelson is very funny, her clothes is too big though, I don't understand how she buys her clothes so big! I was in her one day a week class, it was alot to take in at one time, but the tests were fairly easy and the blackboard quizzes were easy. Lets you use a notecard for each test and omit one problem. Pay attention and you'll pass!

If you are in any way bad at math, DO NOT TAKE THIS TEACHER! From the very first day, I had no idea what this women was talking about, and a lot of people dropped that day. She doesn't take the time to explain things, and she doesn't even teach sections in order, so it's very confusing. I could go on, but there's not enough room.Just don't pick her

I like how she grades the tests. You only get one point for the corect answer, but if your work is correct and you just made a small mistake she doesn't count the whole thing wrong. Quizzes are pretty easy and only the top ten grades count. Overall she was very helpful.

Her class was not easy for me to say the least and a quarter of the class dropped. Take advantage of the learning lab & the quizzes. Her test are very specific and study the final because it counts twice! She will not hand you a grade, you must earn it. Very helpful & available during office hours for any questions. Above all she's a great teacher

I took Mrs. Nelson for both semesters of Business Cal. Shes a lady that is very personal with her students so dont be surprised if she calls you by your last name or asked you why did you miss her class. Her Review are very helpful and are usually some of the same questions that are in the Test. I did you interactmath.com to help with homework.

Mrs. Nelson is a great teacher. If you're not good in math, or don't really understand it, I highly recommend her. She explains things in a way that is very easy to understand.
