Too lazy to teach the material so he just makes you learn through long videos he finds on Youtube. He wrote the book himself and it is not very clear considering all diagrams he made via microsoft word. I wish there was another instructor to take. He shows little personality other than hyping up how good Youtube videos are for learning...

Super smart, just doesn't know how to translate material to students. Assumes that because he knows it, you should too. Funny guy, but don't do it. I have literally taught myself everything. He wrote the textbook as well, so good luck getting help from it.

Dr. Compton is a unique professor. He is a genius, but does not know how to explain it. I paid 0% attention in class and still got an A. However, I did have to study hard and teach myself ALL of the material. He gives a lot of extra credit.

Great professor! If you are looking to take 330, take this professor! He is super clear in his lectures and starts off really basic. So basic it might seem too easy but he definitely builds up to harder material. If you go to class, you will get an A

Absolute waste. He is highly intelligent, but is a horrible professor. "Those who can: DO, those who can't: TEACH." He is the embodiment of that phrase. The class was lost during lecture due to lack of clarity and poor teaching capacity and would regularly tell us we shouldn't have any questions. His note packet makes it impossible to study.

He is an amazing professor ! I am also attending his class for FIN336. He is funny and gives clear instructions concerning exams. He is available and will take the time to explain things that you don't understand. Concerning the exams, if you go to class and do the exercices at home, you will nail them.

Dr. Compton is great. He makes finance very clear, gives you a study guide with everything that will be covered on the test, and TONS of extra credit opportunities. If you're one to skip class DO NOT TAKE HIM because you will be lost. He is a wonderful professor if you are disciplined and willing to put in effort. Would recommend!

Nice guy and good teacher. Goes through class material EXTREMELY fast. If you skip class or play on your phone you'll be lost and come exam time be texting everyone you know. Provides study guides for every test and that is exactly what will be on the test and nothing else. Just pay attention.

Compton made FIN 335 a breeze. The textbook required is a packet of notes he makes himself and relatively cheap. There were 3 exams, including the final (not cumulative), and he lets you bring a 4x6 notecard to the exam with whatever you want on it. He talks very fast and flies through material, so you better pay attention.

He literally couldn't make this class any easier. You have to buy a special textbook he made but it has everything you need, I didn't even take notes in class (which usually gets out early). There's also a financial calculator you need to get but it is very helpful. I made A's on all the tests since he gives you a study guide with everything on it.

Great professor! Knows what he is talking about making it easy for him to explain different topics. Tests are hard if you don't do his practice problems (most are word for word on the test). Notecard cheatsheet is very helpful for formulas! use it! If I could take 1 prof for the rest of my finance major, he would be it!

Great guy. Talks kinda fast and you might not be able to understand anything he says BUT he gives you a study guide and if its not on the study guide its not on the test and you get a 4X6 index card for all exams (even final). Take him! and dont buy the book he has his own notes to purchase for like $15

Compton is an awesome professor. Makes the class really simple for FIN 335, my first of many finance classes. He lets you use an index card for every test, and you pretty much have to get an A on the test since you are allowed the index card. I'm half way through it and really like it and will definitely get an A along with my friends.

Extremely hard finance teacher! Talks very fast and gets really off topic easily... Finance is my major and I love Sigler but Compton is from another planet, no math examples and the ones on the test are very hard and worth A LOT, there is a lot of homework and extra credit too
