Comment:

Easy class, but you have to show up and go to lab if you want to pass. Lectures are terribly boring, but take pictures on your phone and print them out for the test. Tests are basically copying the notes for the answers. I've never seen him open his fanny pack.

Comment:

MTT211 is a machining survey class for non-machinists (eg. drafters). Long lectures that requires you to take notes. The good thing is he lets you use notes for the test, and provides the notes. It's hard to not get an A. He likes telling stories, and he often repeats the same stories without realizing it. Overall recommended.

This professor has never worked a day in industry in his life. He graduated with a masters in the arts. If you take him get ready for horrible jokes, stories, and pointless lectures. You'll sit in a classroom for 4 hours a day, 5 days a week for 3-4 weeks of each 8 week section. If you want to learn something useful, take anyone other than him.

Good teacher. Taking notes is long a boring and so are his lectures-you'll be lucky if you don't fall asleep. He also has a lot of random stories-you will probably zone him out after a while. Despite all that, he has the students make good basic projects and will answer your questions. Good all around teacher.

Classroom time was pointless for his notes if you read the book. I liked that he passes tools around the room to actually see what he was talking about. He does a demo once so pay attention because he normally wont show you again if you get lost. Awful stories about barns, tractors, and steam engines

His class is extremly boring, you just sit there taking notes for 3 hours. On the good side, he goes off on tangents ALOT and is funny and entertaining. Working in the shop is fun, tests are easy he lets you use your notes!

Ok Lads.everyone rating this clown thinks he knows his stuff with machining.Guy never worked a day of his life in industry.Put him in a job shop for a wk.,hell not only get smoked, hell get made a fool of for his lack of knowledge of industrial machining.Neone can teach sissy cuts on a manual machine,put him in the real world to see the truth.

he is pretty good, but the lectures are skull numbing, he can also go off on a tangent and tell some damn weird stories then laugh loudly at them. his beard is cool and he wears a cowboy hat, but not in class. he is very helpfull in lab. but I don't care that how the tables wear evenly in the shop

This teacher knows entirely too much about his job. In his lectures, he tells random stories that no one will understand and then pause and laughes extremely loud and no one else is laughing. The labs are cool, making the "steam engine" Sometimes hes tough to find in the lab to answer questions.
