Comment:

Dr. Stroud loves what he teaches, but forgets that his students don't have all his knowledge. He includes lots of handouts, math problems, & writes an incomplete outline on the board. FYI: his handwriting is terrible! I don't think he has updated his handouts since the 90s. Great guy, lectures not teaches. Don't take unless you LOVE Climatology

Dr. Stroud is a great instructor! He is very organized and well prepared. It's very important to take the notes he posts on the board each class. If you do the weekly assignments and study well from the notes before exams you will pass the course with a decent grade. Finally, if you ever need help, take advantage of his office hours .

Online class. You will need the book. Read & study the material AND read & take notes from his podcasts -- there will be test questions from podcasts. He gives a lot of homework & quizzes though point-wise they aren't worth much. He gave 3 chapter tests... the last one was the final & covered 6 chapters! You must STUDY!

You can tell he is very knowledgeable and passionate about geography. However, he does not give very many points total in his class so you must do good on everything. His quizzes are very hard because he asks about random statistics that may or may not come from his huge list of notes (that you will not be able to read).

Dr. Stroud is a really sweet old man that is very passionate about what he teaches. His class isn't very hard, there is just a lot of busy work. Do the work and you will make an A. It's a web-assist class so you only meet once a week and you do your work online. Dr. Stroud is always available for any questions you might have too.

Took him online. Super easy. You can even find his quizzes on the web, word for word. You write a 3 - 4 page paper. You also have to listen to his podcasts. He will know if you do not click the link in Tegrity campus, however, you can just put him on mute because all he does is repeat himself and answer the phone.

He is a funny kind of guy. I am at my final week of class and we have had 2 tests all sememster. The tests are in class and then some multiple choice online. He requires a lot of stuff online, but all of it was lecture junk. His handwriting is hard to read, but his class isn't too bad.

I never understood where his test were came from. I had him online. I took the midterm 7 times before it was e-mailed to him. My final never was emailed so I failed the class.

Good teacher, but expects you to remember everything that he says (which is alot). Interesting subject, but I am a textbook person and the one he wrote is not very helpfull. His test are tough. I think he is a teacher who refuses to give an A. This is probably due to his ego.

If you have to leave in middle of class , he will follow you and ask why are you leaving.He also follows you to the bathroom, and ask what are you doing. He also favors to foregin students.His lecture doesn't always follow the test .
