Comment:

Don't get me wrong, Dr. Adkins is very nice and personable, and her class is a breeze. However, if you are looking to actually learn biostatistics, I can tell you that she is not the professor to take. I have never been so clueless going into a final while simultaneously knowing I would probably get over 100%. Great person, poor teacher.

Dr. Adkins is a great stats prof. 2 Tests + final. Tests were difficult, but she was fairly lenient on grading. No re-submissions at upper level. Lots of homework, but reasonable. Friendly and interactive. A little scattered, but who isn't? Answers questions anytime in or out of class. Makes learning statistics enjoyable.

Comment:

I felt like she singled students out when they would ask questions. She was a nice teacher. You could resubmit your tests and she'd take the average. However, I felt like she would not purposely make students feel dumb for needing more help or clarity.

Lecture can be all over the place at times BUT she is a saint as she allows test resubmissions that make your test grade go up by 20% if you do all of the corrections. I would not have passed if it weren't for that. Definitely recommend especially if you aren't the best at math like me.

Mrs. Adkins is a nice professor, however she was all over the place. One minutes we would go over something and the next we would be talking about something else. she wasn't very clear on things ever.

The midterm and the final was open note, which completely saved my semester and I'm forever thankful for that. Dr. Adkins was enthusiastic and always came to class with the best outfits. She explains the material well and always encourages class participation.

Very helpful. She let me make the class into an honors class and I got to know her well through that. Guided notes which makes the class easier. Tests pretty straightforward and you can resubmit for partial credit. Kind of goes off on tangents, but an entertaining class. The material is not too hard, and I would definitely recommend this professor.

Professor Adkins is really sweet but I don't like her teaching style. She LOVES to use graphs and charts, even for things that you wouldn't need to use one for. She also likes to use more complicated means of solving a problem rather than the easiest way. Her tests are pretty tough but she lets you resubmit them. And no online work so that's good.

She is an excellent professor who is very helpful. She gives you examples from the book as practice problems for the test but her tests are identical to the notes she provides you in class. She prints out the notes for you and then you just have to fill them in as she lectures. She is always available to talk if you have questions.

I had Professor Adkins for the Bridge Day program. She's very intelligent and helpful. She's also friendly. To this day when I see her she stops and asks me how I'm doing in my math classes.

She's so great, love her positive attitude. She hands out notes for every chapter, and spends the class working through the examples. These notes are great study guides for the test(which you can resubmit). Show up, take notes, do the projects (very easy), and you'll get an A. Don't bother buying the book, we never use it!

This class is so easy.I go sit in class and write whatever she does. On test day I look through the HW and do a few problems then take the test. Then she allows resubmissions that can bring you up two letter grades. The EXCEL projects are a grade boosters. I have an A right now.

Great teacher. I highly recommend her for this class. The tests were somewhat hard, yet she let us do a test re-write for every exam which gave us half the points back from the questions we missed. No homework. Go to class and you'll be fine if you take notes (which she prints off for you). I loved having her as a teacher.
