The only German teacher @ The UofS, if you are planning on majoring in German this school is not for you. There is no structure to this class, I found him impossible to learn from. I did everything off of past knowledge from high school. Other people have no problem learning from him, but I found it impossible, and he makes a lot of rude comments.

...Everyone saying that Dr. Kamla is a bad professor is someone who didn't do their work. He is a great guy and an excellent professor. I have learned a lot from him. Tests are easy (if you do the work) and class goes by quickly if you're not afraid of being called on. Definitley take him if you're even remotely interested in the German language.

Exceptionally easy class. The class moves at a slow pace and follows the textbook exactly; the tests are a breeze and the homework is nonexistant (you simply do the workbook excercizes in the textbook). Unfortunately, the text is outdated, too simplistic, and entirely in German. It lacks grammatical paradigms and is often frustrating.

Not easy. If he doesn't like you, it's even harder. He's not very nice and can be a jerk when it comes to missing class because of a death in the family. Plays favorites. Hard tests, lots of assignments, tries to help some but not much. But he doesn't really care if assignments are turned in late.

His materials are from the 80s and he's stuck in his ways. If he doesn't like you, he won't hide it, and won't even attempt basic politeness either inside or outside of class. He often says very rude things to students in German.
