This class was a PAIN. he is very vague and the readings take forever. it wasn't hard just a pain. the concert assignment was stupid don't let it wait. he does give a chance to fix assign. if you post it early. the disc was expensive for 3 credits, but it is online and not too bad.

For someone who is a big wig in the main office, he sure lacks personal skills but there is no lack of ego. He is very demeaning and pays little attention to people's feelings other than his own. God needs to get ahold of this man's heart.

I'm sorry - I honestly think he's great. I came into this studio with lots of bad habits - and he's been willing to work through those with me - - now granted I got some good money to come to this school from him - but I think he has a lot to offer those who are eager and willing to learn!!!

Seems to miss the fact that he scares/pisses off 90% of the trumpet players on campus. A music program cannot be supported by 3 or 4 trumpets.

I know exactly what is expected of me as a trumpet player (Practice every day!). There is no guessing about what his expectations are. He uses class time class time effectively, and he is willing to help you after class.

His method of recruiting: Every four years finding 1 really awesome trumpet player and paying him a buttload of money to come here. There were only 3 trumpets in the studio this semester; hardly enough to fill 2 concert bands.

This guy needs to get a glimse of the big picture - students don't want a despotic teacher. The workhorse/discipline approach to teaching applied in the 50s and 60s... not today.

This guy doesnt deserve to be the music department chair. He's got an ego on him the size of Texas and in my opinion his trumpet playing sucks especially when he tries to out-do the ensemble by playing the highest most out of tune note. 3 thumbs down!:(
