Here's the thing: if you're an accounting or finance major, you're going to need this class for the credit. Whether you like it or not, you're going to end up in this class. Dr. Kolesar is a very nice man and I think he's too intellectual to be able to successfully teach students business calculus. It's a hard class but keep pushing through.

worst teacher i have ever taken in my entire life. he is so unclear when teaching and the entire class is so unorganized. had 5 people in my class and 3 were failing. went to his office hours for extra help and he said well you should know this already to every question i had. actually made me cry when i asked for help on test corrections

It is a math class and he is focused on us memorizing definitions. Does not show examples. I forgot to write one word in a definition and got minus 15 (Wasn't even an important word). Spend the whole time in class him drawing graphs and him asking"does what?"after everything he says, to make it seem like we get what he is teaching but no one does.

This was the hardest most horrible class I have ever taken. Kolesar is unclear and rude all the time. When I went to him for help, he basically laughed in my face and made me feel like dumbest person alive. Tests are hard and instructions are extremely unclear. DO NOT TAKE.

This man is horrible. His handwriting is beyond horrible so anything on a chalkboard is useless. I took Math & Creativity with him also. On the first exam the average was a 29%. He was upset because he stated that it's usually around 35%. He's the type of professor to punish you because you want an education. He shouldn't be allowed to teach.

don't take math & creativity unless you have too. its a very hard class and he makes it worse. he does not help you and is horrible at explaining things. you will probably have to teach yourself. show up to every class unless he will get mad very fast. sometimes will let you do test corrections which saved a lot of people's grade. good luck.

Kolesar is a horrible professor. He has never once explained anything directly, he spends the majority of the class completely off topic. He's completely stuck in his ways, won't let you do anything in your own way (that may make more sense to you). Doesn't care if you improve or not. Please please drop immediately for your own sake.

Bob Kolesar might be the worst teacher I've ever had in life. He talks to the board the whole time, not to the students.Has no idea how to explain the material to a regular student. If you have him, drop right away without hesitation.He acts as if he is speaking another language to the students. HE IS TERRIBLE!!

To put it simply, he is the last professor I would take among all the professors in the math department at Carroll. Not clear in explaining material, not super helpful, and does not seem to be too concerned with student progression. Coming from a math major I will never take him again.

Absolutely horrible professor. Does not explain himself at all and you can't read his writing. He can be helpful if you go into his office hours but besides that he's useless. He shouldn't be allowed to teach anyone. The material is not explained and he does not seem to care about his students. I got a B in the class by teaching myself the material

He is an awful teacher! He switches boards throughout the entire class writing things down that do not relate to one another. It makes it hard to focus. He can not articulate very well, constantly asking the class what? when he isn't even teachering the material well for the class to respond. His quizzes are more like tests. Don't take this class.

Kolesar is a great math class as long as you are WILLING to learn and ask questions! He is always so helpful and will not let a student fail. It is not an easy A, but if you want to learn, you will not get below a B. You can drop our lowest test grade, out of 4 tests, too! If you are failing, he will meet with you and find ways to raise your grade.

This class is really hard! Kolesar really loves this subject and what is taught in the class. Make sure to show up and take good notes every class period. You WILL hate this class, but you will get through it with an A if you try! Exams are notes based.

Kolesar loves this subject and even though the class is hard and annoying, show up to every class and write everything down! The exams are notes based and make sure you have take good notes. Nothing in this class makes sense anyways so expect to hate it, even if you love math. He's a good guy though
