Dr. maloney is/was the chair of the acct department. He's awesome. In 201 you NEED to do the darned homework or you WILL FAIL. 201 is like Math, you must be familiar with it. If you review well you will get an A. 100% is totally doable. I recommend this teacher & I signed up for 202 with him too. GO FOR IT, you wont be sorry! Good luck!!!!!

He can be very blunt or rude if you don't answer something correctly. Lots of homework. Exams were tough too. Does not waste time teaching...uses every single minute of the class talking.

Mr. Maloney is a professor we all hope to have...he's knowledgeable, relaxed, clear...unfortunately, rumor has it he's on sabbatical for fall 2007/spring 2008...too bad...he helps smooth some of the misery of a few well known acctg professors at UAA....

Any principles class is going to be difficult. There is a lot of work involved, and regular class attendance is critical. Maloney is VERY knowledgeable in this profession, and you can ask him all kinds of questions, in and out of the classroom and he's always willing to help you out. He wants you to succeed. Great instructor.
