I took Bob for a night class, the ones I usually fall asleep in. During Bob's lectures though, it's impossible to fall asleep because his lectures are great. He will answer every question you have be it related to the class or not.

Bob is a really great professor, he goes the extra mile to explain topics and is always willing to ask any question you may have. Do the homework and you should be okay, I would recommend going to lectures too because he makes some topics much easier to understand than just reading out of the book

Not enough good things can be said about this professor. If you can, go out of your way to take him for physics. He makes the material interesting and is very fair when it comes to grading and late work. He genuinely cares if you learn. Only negative things I can think of are thst the final felt confusing and out of place and the labs are tricky.

Bob is one of the best professors at MSOE. He will make learning an otherwise complex topic more interesting, and keep you involved so you aren't dozing off in his class. If you can fit bob into your schedule, do it at all costs. He will help you out if you have any trouble and is more than willing to stop lecture to make sure you understand.

Bob is one of the best professors I've gotten at MSOE. He makes lectures fun while informative. He does have a lot of homework, but it is all based on lectures and reading, so technically if you keep up with the class you should do more than okay. His exams are pretty straight forward, he's not out to trick you at any point. One of the best.

Bob is an incredibly intelligent professor who is able to bring concepts down to students' level very well. He really tries to keep things interesting in class, and he is great to learn from during his office hours. He is a very reasonable grader, too.

very fun&funny teacher. treats everyone equally. TOUGH GRADER. gives extra credit if asked for, questions on the tests are not that difficult if you understand what is asked you will know how to solve it. always makes the class fun. will definitely take physics 2 and 3 with him if hell be teaching!

Olsson teaches material in a way that makes you understand and appreciate it. He will joke around frequently, and interacts with students a lot. Gives graded, curved homework. Gives takehome quizzes. Tests are fairly easy. Use the homework as a learning tool, as he will give you good feedback. Take if you can, you will learn and have a good time.

PHENOMENALLY SMART professor. Best I've had at MSOE. Hilarious dude who really makes physics fun and genuinely cares about all of his students. Very accessible outside of class. Easy lab grader. PH2021 is challenging for most, but Bob made it a breeze for me - ask questions and it's smooth sailing!! Do whatever you can to fit him in your schedule.

I really enjoyed Dr. Olsson's lectures. He knows what he is talking about and makes it understandable for his audience. If you still get lost, he is more than happy to help you. His energetic personality makes it easy to pay attention and keeps the subject matter interesting. Definitely one of the better professors at this school.

Awesome professor. Period. Awesome teacher and will make you learn. If you don't like class participation (8AM Classes) then perhaps avoid because he "drinks a small pot of coffee every morning." I would advise you to work him into your schedule where ever possible.

Bob's a good guy, quirky fun but you will learn. Kinda goes a little fast in lecture... but at MSOE what professor doesn't? Homework is kind of hard... but graded fairly. Would definitely take again.

Overall, he's s pretty decent professor. He's excited about his teaching, he great at keeping you awake. He's a little hard to follow sometimes because his energy level sort confuses you. I guess that is my personal problem, but other students in the class thought the same as well. I did learn a lot, but thought the test was really hard (most).

If you actually pay attention in Bob's class you will find it both amusing and easy to understand. He goes over everything in detail and will not move forward if anyone is not clear of the subject. Thing is most people at MSOE don't speak up when they are lost so they just get even further behind. Oh yes and email him when you are confused with HW.
