Comment:

The professor is laid back. She gives extensions on work and gives lots of extra credit. This class is a good class to take with any health career program because she is chill. She gives extra credit. I have four kids a hectic life and I do not feel overwhelmed by her class. She does change the syllabus a lot so check it as directed.

She is very unorganized. She does not answer email at all!! Changes due dates constantly. I have no idea what grade I am getting in her class because she does not grade anything. Pitiful excuse for a professor!!

Took her class online. Asked for too much in one week. Doesnt communicate well. Ignores emails because there are too many. Slow grader. Not clear on any direction. Changes dates and directions often. FIND A DIFFERENT PROFESSOR WHO CARES!

Took this course online & this instructor does not present the class in a very organized manner. Due dates were always changing, assignments were always being altered, and she is just unclear about most things. I'm sure it would have been better in person, but she isn't organized enough to teach online classes. Some assignments seem juvenile.

Is not clear on assignment directions; uploads multiple directions to assignments and none of them are clear. Expects you to take pre and post quizzes over and over till you get a 90%; has you turn in chapter outlines for each ch. even if thats not how you study; poor communication; no grades posted; WAY to much work along w/ nursing requirements.

Dr. Barker is a challenging professor who needs to stop teaching period. She does have a love for teaching but fails to meet her students needs. Emails will go unanswered unless you send like 500 of them. She also puts in grades way too late. Its finals week and theres still only 2 assignments in there. I would recommend you pick another professor.

Prof. Barker is very nice However, I did not have a good online class experience with her. She does not grade assignments in a timely manner(end of the semester). She does not respond promptly to emails. Your gonna teach yourself using resources the text offers. Fairly easy class though and lots of extra credit more than actual assignments.

I took Prof. Barker class online and I learned so much. This course does require a fair amount of work, but the answers are easy to find in the textbook and the material is interesting to learn. Although I took the class online, I could really tell Prof. Barker cares about her students. The final is also something to look toward to. I enjoyed it!

If you aren't interested in teaching yourself and being dedicated to learning do not take this class with this professor and/or online! You will not receive much feedback and if you do, it will not be quick. Directions are unclear so be ready to communicate with others! Very slow grader so stay on top of things to ensure you are okay.

Group projects for online class. Incredibly disorganized to the point that most of the group messages were deciphering the 3 different sets of instructions she gave to determine what the actual requirements are. Assigns things with little notice despite the fact that she gives a (poorly-laid out) assignment sheet at the beginning of the semester.

I took her Life Span Development (PSY 2020) Course oniline. I am terrible at online classes because of my poor management skills. However, Ms. Barker helped me every step of the way. She is a very understanding professor and helped me so much! She even took the time to help/teach me how to make a schedule according to my daily life and stick to it.

First thing first, you do not NEED to purchase the Cengage $125 access code, we were told weeks into the course that it was not mandatory just "helpful". Secondly, when you email her with direct questions she does not give direct answers and if you email more than once about an assignment she deducts points. I wouldn't recommend her.

Not a good online instructor. Had to buy an online component for the class. Don't get the book. You can read it online with that code. Should be an easy class but she takes forever to grade stuff and make things available (i.e., turn something in on blackboard, but nowhere to post it on the due date.) Always has office hours though.

Proff Barker's online class is the first time I might not get an A in an online class. I've spent all my time stressing trying to figure things out rather than learning. She had a couple via lectures that she gave only 2 hours notice for. She took the lectures down immediately after they happened. She added to her shrine when she heard the dean was

One of the worst professors I've ever had. She had an attitude in every email exchanged. She only responds during office hrs (1 hr on weekday mornings) and all of her instructions are VERY unclear. She also changes due dates last minutes and doesn't post work until the middle of the week even though online classes are mon-sun

No complaints this class was easy! Multiple choice and if you can look in a book you can ace the exams. Seriously, I did zero prep before the exams. And the assignments are worth 20 points out of 1000+ so I didn't even bother. Yeah, she's completely disorganized, but if you like psy, then use this class for independent learning and an easy A.
