Comment:

He's a great professor, and wants his students to pass. He puts old exams in the library to study, offers study group sessions (where he goes over actual exam questions and provides answers), and each exam has bonus questions. He can be hard to listen to and gets off subject. But so are some of your other professors. He at least offers to help.

Comment:

He was okay. Main problem I had with him was his god-awful handwriting. I sat in the front and he wrote so small and messy even I could only make out some of it. He goes on tangents a lot. Talks a lot about his money, his father, beer, and his ex-wife. He does allow half a note card, and puts old exams in the library.

He talks WAY too much about random topics and tangents. So often I went to class expecting to learn something and instead he would discuss football, and beer, and other useless topics . There were some days that we learned nothing until the last 5 minutes of class where he rushed to try and teach because he wasted all that class time. DO NOT TAKE

I DO NOT recommend Quinn by any means. Does not use the book.If you like clean, organized notes, don't take this professor. Goes off on 20 minute tangents and forgets he's teaching a class half the time. I sat on my phone majority of class to keep from falling asleep. He does put old tests in the library to study with.

Comment:

Absolutely take Quinn if you can! He does get off on tangents a lot (and multiple times), but when he is teaching he material, he is very easy to follow and it's easy to pay attention the entire class. Go to the reviews for the tests and take advantage of being able to use a notecard. I got over 100% on every test. Definitely recommend him!

Comment:

He does not take attendance, but if you don't attend, you will fail. He assigns a textbook, but teaches in a much clearer way than the textbook. It is easy to pay attention in his class, he is very funny, and teaches the material very well. I usually prefer to learn from a book, but I like his teaching style. I wish he taught 202. Highly recommend.

Quinn is an amazing teacher! i dropped mirco economics because i could not understand it for the life of me! He explains it really well (relating it to college kids like with BEER demands etc.) Made me laugh during my 2hour and 10 min summer class He is amazing and instead of takig Macro on the web .. im taking it with him :)testshard/canuseNotecar

He's a great prof. He talks a bunch about his life, and it livens his lecture up. I took his night class of micro that was 1:40 mins. He gave us like a "5 min" break that was sometimes 30 mins. Really taught the material well. I did almost no outside class work and found by just going to class it was easy to understand the material.

I didn't like this professor at all. He gets off topic way too much, when he is explaining something he goes way to fast. He doesn't beleive in using the internet as a resource. He doesn't use the book so you have no resources there either. He doesn't give homework so there is no way to practice the concepts he is trying to teach. bad overall.

He wasn't that bad of a teacher, it was just that he would get off topic ALOT. For me, this throws off my attention and I would begin to day dream. His tests are challenging, and sometimes quite hard. Just be prepared to get off topic. Onereally before a test. One really good thing he does is have study groups before exams, they really help!

He is a nice guy but he is off topic a lot and he'll go into this huge explanation and a ton of math and on and on and then after you've finished writing it all down and are panicing a little he goes but you wont need to know this until graduate school.

His tests are difficult and the reviews don't help all too much. He doesn't use the book at all, the whole class is on how well you wrote your notes. It was hard to pay attention because half the time he would be talking about his failed marriage or how he hasn't been on a date in ten years. His stories were always irreleveant.
