POOR instructions and directions. TERRIBLE instructor, for a man DIZZY, Forgets his office appointments with the student. In class lectures all he talks about is gitchets and witchets???? He makes NO SENSE on the platform or in the office.

At 1st I didnt like him. But he actually isnt tht bad. Tests are fair and multiple choice. Didn't have to write programs on test. Attend lecture or u will be lost. Book is very helpful. Somewhat confusing, but you can get help.

I had him before CS 208 became Java. He was confusing as all get out! His lectures were horrible and, like some have said, he goes off on these tangents. Scatterbrained, is what I'd call it. Don't take this guy if you never had any programming. I've had a few and I was still confused with him!

Horrible professor. He could not teach anything at all. Double-check your tests after he grades them. He does a very bad job with his tests. On his answer key, he incorrectly marked 7-8 problems giving some students an addition 15 points on their midterm.

Worst teacher I had yet, Did not explain well and often went completely off topic of computers altogether. Don't even try to go as for help because he gets mad and eventually you get tired of him yelling at you and not helping you just leave confused. DO NOT TAKE- Skip to CS 240

A great professor. He had a very quirky classroom style, but he always hit the essential topics. Some of the material was confusing, but Java isn't an easy language in and of itself. Some of the best times had in a classroom, though the tests could be a little bit "subtle."

If you don't like computers do not take this class as an elective. Rea helps during class with his demonstrations. His shirts may be distracting but overall the class isn't that bad.Don't fall behind. Get ahead early in the quarter when the stuff is easy.

plan on learning the info on your own, and take advantage of your TA in lab, especially if you have Bhooma. she is wonderful, and the only reason I pulled an A in the class. labs count for half of your grade, so take advantage of that!!
