Comment:
Professor Roush's Indian Peoples class comes down to doing the readings and attending class. If you read the assigned readings and take notes during her lectures (which can be confusing) you'll do fine. I approached her various times after I believed her TA graded incorrectly and she was understanding. Easy class if you do the work.

She was very boring and was difficult to argue your paper with. She was not very willing to reconsider any of her TA's grading, although she did take it back to check over it. Tests are hard because they are T/F, some m/c, and an essay. She rely's on the descretion of the TA which she was very picky with our answers. Many people were upset...

NEVER took notes made it hard to keep up on material...did not like the class at all because the only way we learned was to go home and read the text...unless you like to read a lot then don't take this class!

She does go on a lot of tangents and talks a little too much about native americans (but that's just herarea of focus). I personally enjoy the tangents and easily got good grades on her tests because the narrative form of teaching is what works for me. I really enjoyed her classes and hated missing any.

She shows lots of videos! Pay attention of videos and stupid stories she tells. Your text grade depends on this! Oh ya and bring a pillow! Very nice person and answers questions, it's just one of those classes that never ends.
