FYS class was very boring. You watch movies in every class. You have discussion post about the movie in class. You have a day to post or you dont get credit. Attendance is mandatory. Show up on time and you have to stay the whole class. If you come in late or leave early you get docked points for that. Lots of papers to write. Power point slides.

AWESOME professor. i took a class with her last semester and am taking two more with her this fall. helped me define my major and ignited a huge interest in mass media and broad casting. willing to help if youre willing to put in the work... take a class with her if possible

Good to take if you need extra comm credits. You're in the tv studio every thurs learning the equipment. Learn the basics of Final Cut Pro. Very nice teacher, very helpful. If you ever need to talk to her she is very accommodating. Would highly recommend. 2 quizzes, no tests. Final is an 10 min interview you put together.

She holds grudges. I thought I dropped the class, but a computer error made it so I didn't. So instead of giving me a "W" I got an "F" even though I only went twice. This caused me to almost get thrown out of the major. Her response was "you know the deal at RIC...too bad." AVOID!

Took her for Intro to Film and Video. She is so freakin' adorable and kind. Always there if you need to talk with her. Accepts rewrites on papers. Go to class and watch the movies. Thanks to her I found out that I LOVE Thelma and Louise :D
